I came here today to look for bell pepper plants and fruit trees. They were salling lady bell peppers for 3.49 for a 3 pack! The people here were very friendly and helpful. I spoke to one person who I asked if this was a family owned store and she said for 57 years and that its the best place to work. That they are great here. I could feel it too what she was saying. All the women who were working today took time to ask me if I needed anything and to answer any of my questions. They offered to help get the things I was looking for. At the checkout I asked them about events that they have and if they have a Facebook page. They told me about all the fall events and animals and free things to do. So we will have to check them out and come back in the fall. Thanks for helping us today and we loved your beautiful big store. It makes it so great that they have paved places throughout so that I can get around in my wheelchair. I didn't see any automated carts but at least I was able to get everywhere I wanted to go. Their prices were great too and will have me keep coming back. They have such a large selection of anything and everything you can think of to do with gardens farms plants flowers and seeds.

Went here Saturday to grab a 7 bags of mulch to finish my parkway planting bed. Bought the rougher cut mulch pictured bc it was a few dollars cheaper than the upgrade ($8.99). At almost $7.00 per bag it was almost twice as expensive as the brown mulch I bought at an Ace Hardware for $3.99. Was I wrong! This stuff was not just rough, it had rocks and very large chunks of branches I had to pick out. Terrible product and wayyyy over priced. See the photos. The lighter brown picture is the Ace mulch.
Amazing place for kids and adults! We absolutely loved Goebbert’s Farm. It’s such a fun and welcoming place for the whole family. There’s so much to see and do — from the beautiful pumpkin patch to the friendly animals. We were especially impressed by the giraffe! 🦒 The market is also wonderful, with fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious pies, and other treats. Perfect for a fall day out — we’ll definitely be coming back! 🍁🎃
Goebbert’s fall festival has been a family tradition for years. We go every year in October to enjoy the simple, fun charm of the festival. They have a fairly expansive petting zoo, with a giraffe no less. There’s also pig races, corn pits, haunted house, hay bale rides and tons of photo ops for the kids. Great place to let the little ones run around and burn off some steam with its massive grounds. There also a pretty amazing gift shop with great souvenirs, farm-grown foods, clothing and holiday gifts. It gets a little pricier every year, but for us it’s absolutely worth it given the fun day we have. The food is above average for a fall festival, and the apple ciders are second to none. Highly recommend for a super chill, fun easy time with the family. Expect to spend 2-3 hours to fully enjoy.
Goebbert’s Farm is such a fun and festive place for families, especially in the fall season. There are so many attractions for all ages — from the corn maze and pig races to the pumpkin patch and delicious cider donuts. The atmosphere is always cheerful and full of energy. One of the highlights on weekends is the live entertainment. We really enjoyed the magician’s show, which kept both kids and adults laughing and amazed. It’s a perfect little break between the outdoor activities, and definitely worth catching while you’re there. It can get busy on weekends, so I recommend going earlier in the day, but the variety of things to do makes it absolutely worth it. Goebbert’s does a great job creating memories, and we’ll definitely be back next season!
Pros: so much for your kids to do! Corn pit, giant side, feed a giraffe, bounce, crawl through tunnels, ride a pony etc. worth the entrance fee for us but our daughter was under 3. Helpful employees! Cons: very little healthy food options at the cafe. Fruit etc would be a nice option Bathrooms are outhouses Breastfeeding mothers- good news there is a shack you can use with rocking chairs and curtains. Bad news it’s hot and not well taken care of. Pro tip: go during the week. It will be crowded but not nearly as much on the weekends.
Goebbert’s Farm in South Barrington is impressively well laid out, offering a smoother flow and better organization compared to the Pingree Grove facility. The food court stands out with its extensive setup and wider variety of food options, making it a great spot to enjoy a full meal or snack during your visit. Even outside of pumpkin season, it’s still a wonderful place to explore and spend time with family — well worth the trip any time of year.
Here's a rewritten review: "Goebberts Farm Fall Celebration is a must-visit for families and fun-seekers of all ages! The vast food stands and courts offer a wide variety of delicious options to satisfy any craving. The children's playground and fields are packed with activities, including a maze that's sure to delight kids. However, I did feel a little disappointed that I missed the pumpkin patch! Overall, it's an excellent spot for a fun-filled day out with plenty to see and do. Highly recommended!"
