Our Server was Khari. D. ShE WAS AMAZING. Very attentive, patient & informative. Mangerment, Ms. Ester, was also the best. The food atmosphere, service was beyond to be expected. Some of our other black own restaurant need to take note on how the process goes. Because this by far A EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. OH, and the Bartender Ms.Tabitha knows her way around some old fashion cocktails, let's just say she's definitely THEBOMB.COM. Can't wait to come back.

I recently visited Gocha's Breakfast Bar and had a mixed experience, but there were definitely some highlights. For appetizers, I tried the fried green tomatoes and the salmon bites. The fried green tomatoes were decent, but the breading was much thicker than I prefer. While the coating stayed on well, it was a little overwhelming and took away from the tomato itself. The salmon bites were flavorful and still juicy, but they were a bit overcooked for my taste. I prefer salmon with a little more of that tender, perfectly cooked center, but they were still enjoyable overall. For my entrée, I ordered the fish, grits, and shrimp. Before ordering, I asked if my fried fish could be served on the side to keep it from becoming soggy under the grits and sauce. I was told no modifications were allowed, which was disappointing. When the dish arrived, I understood my concern. The fish was flounder, and while flounder can be delicious, it needs proper seasoning because it has a mild flavor. Unfortunately, the fish fell a little flat for me. The grits were okay, but I personally did not enjoy the creamy sauce that accompanied the dish. After giving it a try, I decided it just wasn't for me and sent it back. I then ordered the steak with country potatoes and an over-easy egg. The steak wasn't the highest quality cut, but it was cooked exactly medium as requested, which I appreciated. The potatoes and runny egg made for a satisfying breakfast plate. The standout item of the meal was the pancake. It was delicious, slightly sweet on its own, and had the crispy edges that pancake lovers appreciate. Honestly, it didn't need much syrup at all. Overall, the experience had some hits and some misses. While a few dishes weren't quite my preference, there were enough positives to make the visit worthwhile. The pancake alone is worth trying, and I appreciated that the steak was cooked exactly as ordered.
First time visiting to celebrate my birthday. I came on a Wednesday hoping the line wasn’t long and I was able to walk right in and sit down. Lawerence was my server and he was full of energy, gave recommendations and checked in. Thanks to him I enjoyed my experience more. I got the Cajun Fish with Shrimp and Jalapeño cheese grits. The fish was fried to perfection and the grits were super creamy. I paired my meal with a recommended happy hour drink that definitely didn’t spare the liquor involved. I’m glad to see a black owned business with great service and great food standing.
**10/10 across the board, baby!** 🖤❤️💚 The food? **10/10** — seasoned just right and made with love. The atmosphere? **10/10** — comfortable, welcoming, and the vibes were definitely vibing. Our waitress, **Daphane**, was an absolute gem. **10/10 customer service**! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. And on **Juneteenth**? Whew! The energy was beautiful, the food was hitting, and the celebration was in full effect. Good people, good food, good vibes. If you're thinking about stopping by, don't walk—**run!** We'll definitely be back. ✨🙌🏾🎉 #Juneteenth #BlackJoy #GoodEats #VibesOnVibes
Loved my time here! Came to catch up with an old friend. Got seated immediately! Our server Ashanti was amazing; got us waters and our appetizer pretty quickly! Everyone’s food was amazing with generous portions. Drinks were good too. Music and atmosphere was great. Staff was very friendly and a vibe
Amazing experience! From the atmosphere to the seating process and everything overall. Our server Daphne was amazing she made sure that we were taken care of and offered the best options for our party of 4. Manager was nice as well and came over for a nice conversation. Five stars! Will definitely come back again to this spot!
This place is beautiful. The vibe is great. Music is nice and not too loud. Service is EXCELLENT! We had Daphane and she answered all of our questions about what we should try and the food choices did NOT disappoint! The food was SO good! My husband and I are already planning to be regulars. We splurged a bit because we wanted to try a bunch of stuff. But the prices were definitely reasonable as well. They make so many food options that it’ll take us a while to get through everything we want to try. And we can’t wait to go along for the ride!
I am very disappointed in my brunch at Gocha’s today. It was not a good service experience which is honestly sad for black owned businesses to continue to have a reputation of bad service smh. We waited almost an hour for our food, which given it was Mother’s Day I was willing to excuse, what isn’t acceptable is waiting almost an hour for the food to be cold and wrong. My Mother’s food was cold but at this point she ate it because the wait was already long. My food however was wrong, they put mushrooms on my pizza when I asked for no mushrooms. I have a mild allergy to mushrooms. I was so hungry at this point but I still had to wait for a new pizza. This pizza took an additional 15-20 minutes and it came out wrong again! So now I have to wait again for a third time for my pizza to come out right. The rest of my party had finished their food by this point. I get the third pizza which I believe was the second pizza but they just added the missing ingredients on top of the pizza smh. Actually, I know it was the second pizza because I picked at it to make sure all the ingredients were on there. It’s very unsanitary if that’s the case. Picture one is of the first pizza I received, you can see the quality in how it’s made. The second picture is the third pizza I received, you can see it’s not the same quality. I did not get a picture of the second pizza because I busy inspecting it before the waiter left. I wish I had gotten a picture to prove it was the same pizza but you can see the third pizza isn’t neat. Moving on to drinks, we never got refills of water despite asking. I had to ask for my Honor & Passion Drink because I had not received it after 40 minutes. I do not recommend the drink because all I tasted was Prosecco. Idk why the receipt says orange juice when orange juice was not in the description of the drink. I cannot have orange juice. Lastly, we come to issues with the bill. They charged me for the pizza. Most places will comp at least my meal considering the service I experienced. Gocha’s did not. When I received the full bill, I told the waitress I think the pizza should be free or at the very least discounted. She went to speak with the manager and came back with the pizza being half off (I think it should have been free but I wasn’t going to argue). The thing is it wasn’t really half off because they charged me for the extra meat when their menu said it was $1 for the additional meat. So, not only did I not get good service, I still had to pay for it. Plus they added auto gratuity when by their rules they would add it for bar seating, parties of 5 or more, or $100 or greater…I was none of those things. I had a party of 3 and my bill was less than $100. Idk why the drink says orange juice when orange juice was not on the descriptionThe only positive thing was my brother enjoyed his Cajun Fish and Grits.
