Ebenezer Baptist Church

I visited Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, and it was such a powerful and moving experience. 🙏🏾✨ Being in the church where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached, seeing the memorial, and walking through the exhibits filled my heart with reflection, gratitude, and inspiration. This place is a beautiful reminder of faith, love, courage, and the power of peace. I left feeling blessed, inspired, and grateful for the opportunity to witness such an important part of history. ❤️

There are photo shoots and then there is THE photo shoot that leaves a lasting impression on you. The Civil Rights Trail Photo Shoot @ebenezer_atl Heritage Sanctuary was just that. Being inside this historic church felt like being surrounded by legacy, faith, courage and the powerful echoes of history all at once.

After an amazing day spent at the John Lewis Institute "Good Trouble" Summit (Emory University Goizueta Business School)... We were dropping by the King Center, in order to pay our respects on the 4th. Little did we know we would catch the tail end of the service and then get to witness the wreath raising on Ebenezer Baptist Church. The whole experience was absolutely overwhelming and I'm so glad the timing worked out. I could not recommend this venue enough. Everyone is incredibly gracious and the historic nature of the building speaks for itself. An absolute must-see if you're in the Atlanta area!

The history of this beautiful house of worship alone was awe inspiring, but the actual house and grounds were so beautiful. As an African American, I felt a sense of pride and of reverence for the brothers and sisters who gave their lives so that I could have an opportunity to live in peace and equity in this country that promised it to all citizens. The fact that the site survives and thrives warms my heart. I purpose in my heart to return for an actual worship service.

I had an opportunity to serve the “Ebenezer Everywhere” family as a Minstrel for their Mother’s Day celebration and, as always, it’s a distinct honor serving their house of worship. During this bout ministry support, I was especially privileged to experience the exceptional ministry of a legendary trailblazer for women in Ministry—Bishop Vashti McKinsey and also meet her in person! It was humbling to meet one of my personal heroes of the Black Church—one I had only read about and studied in books—while also serving the same hallowed ministry where Dr. Martin Luther King and his father once served, and where the current sitting U.S. Senator of Georgia also pastors. This was a powerful, intersecting moment for me and one I will never forget. 🙏🏾

Been following church service since April, had the opportunity to visit in person for the first time today- overwhelmed by everything, Reverend Warnock incredible sermon as always, the music impeccable so uplifting, and the staff and parishioners truly and sincerely welcoming. Many blessings to all at Ebenezer our new church. 🙏
