Gorgeous. Stunning. Absolutely beautiful. We knew that while we were in town we had to stop by and boy did it not disappoint. The grounds were super clean, no brush on the sidewalks or garbage all over. It took us a few hours to walk through the trails and thankfully they gave us a map because we would have missed 80% of the trails. It was super relaxing to walk through, 10/10 will visit again if I come back to Atlanta.

This was our third year attending the holiday lights show at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and somehow it gets better every year! From the incredible displays of twinkling lights to the beautifully illuminated gardens, every corner feels like stepping into a holiday wonderland. One of our family's favorite traditions is gathering around the S'mores Station, where the grandkids can roast marshmallows and create sweet memories together. The highlights are endless. The reflective fountains, sparkling with colorful lights, create breathtaking scenery throughout the garden. The stunning Earth Goddess (our grandkids lovingly call her the "Volcano Princess") is absolutely mesmerizing, and the synchronized light and music displays are simply spectacular. One of the most magical moments is walking across the suspended canopy walkway, surrounded by hundreds of lights hanging from the treetops, gently swaying in the breeze. As holiday favorites play alongside fun surprises ranging from Nat King Cole classics to the Star Wars theme, the entire experience feels enchanting for visitors of every age. Whether you're already overflowing with holiday spirit or trying to turn a Grumpy Grandpa Grinch into a believer, this event delivers. It's the perfect place to bring family and friends, make memories, and start a tradition you'll look forward to year after year. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing team at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for creating such a beautiful holiday experience. We visit our grandkids in Atlanta every year, and this event has become one of our most treasured family traditions. We can't wait to come back next Christmas!

We’ve visited several botanical gardens across the U.S., and the Atlanta Botanical Garden is easily among the very best. What made our visit even more memorable was the docent-led tour that begins at 1:30 PM — and it’s completely free. Highly recommend joining it if you can. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a much deeper appreciation and understanding of the gardens, the design, and the immense work that goes into maintaining them. What really stood out was the extraordinary level of care, planning, and attention to detail throughout the entire property. Everything looked absolutely immaculate. The orchid collection was stunning, with some of the most beautiful displays we’ve seen anywhere. Our favorite area by far was the Earth Goddess — truly breathtaking and unlike anything we had ever seen before. This is an absolute must-visit in Atlanta.

I visited the Atlanta Botanical Garden on a mild afternoon, and it turned out to be a really relaxing way to spend a few hours. It’s right next to Piedmont Park, so it was easy to get to, and the entrance process was pretty smooth. What stood out to me first was how well-kept everything was. The plants looked healthy, and the paths were clean and easy to follow. I didn’t feel rushed at all—there are plenty of spots where you can just sit and take things in. The canopy walk was probably my favorite part. Being up among the trees gave a different perspective, and it felt calm and quiet compared to the busier areas. Some sections were more interesting than others. The themed gardens and seasonal displays were nice, though a few areas felt a bit repetitive if you’ve been to other botanical gardens before. Still, there were enough unique features to keep it engaging. It can get a little crowded, especially on weekends, but it never felt overwhelming. I’d recommend going earlier in the day if you want a quieter experience. Overall, it’s not something I’d visit every week, but it’s definitely worth seeing at least once, especially if you enjoy nature or just want a peaceful break from the city.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Loved every inch of this place. Felt like a fairytale princess walking through the entire garden. Absolutely worth the money.

Gorgeous. If you go, you must take the canopy walk, and spend a few hours pursuing the rest of the grounds. The aquaponics building is super interesting! I imagine it gets pretty hot during the summertime, so don't skimp on the hydration! We went mid-April and the walk was manageable. Plenty of spaces to get around to in a wheelchair. There is also a very nice vantage point of the park and the Atlanta Skyline at the outlook point in the back. Maps are provided at the entrance for ease of navigation.

Beautiful and well worth the price. Was very hot but the shaded pathways was nice. My favorite was the gardens from the Andes mountains, so nice and cool on a hot day , staff was friendly, and helpful. Knowledgeable about the park and some of the plants. Highly recommend visiting.

The Botanical Garden is a beautiful and educational destination for both adults and children. The staff and volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share information. One thing to keep in mind is that exhibits change over time, so attractions available during one visit may not be there the next. For example, I was disappointed to learn that the butterfly exhibit and the Alice in Wonderland display were no longer available and had been replaced with a different exhibit. Even so, it was still a wonderful experience overall, and I would gladly visit again.
