Sweet Afton

I would like to start with the decoration of the place. It’s so cozy and elegant. Had a birthday celebration and we were around 8 people we were accommodated rapidly. Food was really good and tasty. Service was fast and nice. The girl had the patience to deal with my friends lol and she delivered a good service still. The dimming lights and the music made a nice ambience to hang out with friends. We will come back

The Sweet Afton Burger with Gouda cheese was amazing. And the zucchini fritters too. The atmosphere is reserved and quite ideal for a night out with your mate or a friend. The Guinness beer was amazing. There was live music on a Monday night. You can’t beat that. The waitress, Tamara was so kind. She ran the show. Was all over the place on point with orders and taking care of all the customers. The food is a modern twist to the original Irish food but it was delicious. I think it was the best burger I ever had. There are many different quiet spots throughout the restaurant which made it ideal for a feel of privacy and peaceful environment. Definitely recommend and will return!

Came with a couple of friends. We got the Mac and cheese, chicken sandwich, and two apps. The food was good, but the drinks were absolutely amazing. Such a cute place, and with outdoor seating for nice days

Visited Sweet Afton, look a place to have a early dinner. I found the staff polite, engaging, and most friendly. The food was average and the menu was somewhat limited. Adding a few more items in their selection, would greatly improve the menu appeal. The drinks were incredibly, well balanced and expertly crafted. They are said to have live music on Wednesdays, so I am planning on returning to see what offered for the in house performance. All said and done my experience was positive.

Really enjoyed the vibes but the food was lacking flavors. I really didnt enjoy my meal but wasn't bad. Would def give it a 2nd try. Great drinks, service & environment

Did not eat here, but the atmosphere was great and the pickle martini's were awesome!

I've been here twice. The first time, the bartender snatched the menu right out of my hand while I was still looking at it. We were a party of two and he only gave me one menu, the one that was snatched. He totally ignored us when we ordered and was super rude. The second time, I made a reservation to watch the Knicks game and specifically asked for a table with a good view of the TV. But when we got there, they stuck us in a corner with a really bad view. I asked to move to one of the many empty tables that had a clear view, but they said no. So, I just left. Hopefully, the service gets better in the future. It's a shame to see places in Astoria giving such bad service. Luckily, there are plenty of other bars around.
