Hillman Beer

Nice place nearby in East Asheville. Close to other places to eat and drink by the Estste Sale Thrift Store. You order food and beer at the bar when you come in. Plenty of places to sit in front or back, we went Saturday evening and the place was buzzing. Food was really good, Photos shows the Ruben with chips, their Burger. The Kale Salad is really good! This isnt just an IPA hole, I had a delicious Golden Ale at 8.5 ABV that will definitely bring me back. Staff was incredibly nice and attentive. I love meeting my neighbors and their dogs at the bar. Go here instead of the place right next to the new apartments.

The fries are hand-cut, crispy, and well-seasoned, while the in-house chips came out warm, golden brown, and downright delicious. Service was friendly and well-paced, with staff offering samples to help dial in the perfect beer choice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hillman Beer – Biltmore Village We had lunch and local beer in Biltmore Village and really enjoyed our visit. It’s sad to see that the village still has many places closed after the 2024 floods — very heartbreaking — but Hillman Beer was a bright spot. I had a burger with a kale salad, and it was really good. The salad was especially great — truly healthy and just the way I like it. My husband had the turkey Reuben with chips and loved it. The beers were cold and very good. Everyone was happy, welcoming, and super friendly. A great place to support while visiting the area.

We drove 2.5 hours to get to Asheville and after reading through all the options, we landed at Hillman's to start our adventure. It was exactly what we wanted. Super good atmosphere, really good food and super good beer! We had the Octoberfest, Hazy IPA and the IPA and all three quinched the thirst! There is plenty of seating in the front, but the back with the picnic tables was were we chose to enjoy our food and drink. Dogs are allowed and many were with the human friends during our time there on a Wednesday afternoon. Will certainly return!

Great menu here for food, this place got super packed for trivia! We sat down for dinner around 6 and ordered the pork rinds which were exceptional. Light dust of old bay was perfect. The seltzer and light beers were perfect for our crowd. We got the falafel wrap and roasted turkey wrap. Both good, but we all felt the sauces needed to be better distributed throughout the wraps because they felt a little dry. The fries were amazing.

Loves the service and the beer. The wings and burger were quite good as well! I'm a bit picky about my burger buns and these were top notch. I feel like the burger could have been a little thicker or the bun a little smaller but all in all it was a pretty great flavor mixture

Might be the best brewery in Asheville. Large selection of styles, we sampled many of them. Decent selection of food too (not a food truck). Plenty of seating inside and on the patio. Service staff was excellent. Bartender saw us a few hours later walking on the sidewalk several miles away, rolled down his window and said hello. But again, the beer was excellent. Worth the trip away from downtown to visit.

What a great place, especially if you have a dog. Burger was awesome, turkey Ruben had have carved turkey!! A little light on the dressing but good overall. IPA was delish and the ginger beer was also very good.
