Big shoutout to JD, Brendan, and Shawn - what an incredible crew at Necto! We’ve DJ’d Indian nights, Diwali, and other various South Asian events for Umich affiliated clubs - last night for Ross business school and the team at Necto has treated our DJs incredible for the past 3 years! Truly blessed to work with such an amazing staff at Ann Arbor’s best night club. Can’t wait to see them again in 2026!

Visitor notes
We had an awesome at Necto, for the Ciara Myst and Nini Coco viewing party and show! Incredible performances! Shout out to Shawn who took great care of us. We loved having the VIP booth that Nick booked for us, it was very comfortable, an extra special experience. Appreciate the staff, the club atmosphere and the overall experience!
Let me preface my review by saying I have been to Necto many times in the passed three years. I have had a very mixed bag of experiences. The line to get inside is always astronomically long, so prepare for that and try to show up sometime before midnight for faster admission. Sometimes fights break out in line/inside the club and the line gets held up until it's broken up. There's usually a police presence outside the club, but sometimes sketchy things take place. Just make sure you're paying attention to your surroundings like you would anywhere else!! Look out for your friends!! The club itself is actually pretty good. The only downsides are the music and the crowd. Typically, the music is pretty hit-or-miss. The energy is never very high for more than two songs. Moreover, there is a huge "standing culture" at Necto. A majority of people will flood the dance floor, only to kinda just stand there. The story is the same for the stage area. Obviously it is not always like this, but sometimes there isn't a lot of dancing going on. The good news is that you can always cram your way into the dance floor and get some good dancing real estate. Frequency Saturdays are your best bet for a bustling, busy club. The drinks are not too expensive, taste great, and the staff here is wonderful. The bottom-line is that Necto is really good, every once in a while.
The worst experience ever. The staff had a very rude attitude from the moment we arrived. I reserved a VIP floor table, but we ended up getting kicked out because I had an asthma attack and they assumed I was going to throw up, even though that never happened. I was simply having trouble breathing. What made the experience even worse is that it was my birthday, and instead of enjoying the night, we were treated disrespectfully and handled very unprofessionally. For the amount of money spent on a VIP table, I expected much better customer service and basic respect. Definitely never coming back to this place again. Very disappointing experience overall.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Necto!! Not only are the staff gorgeous and always super nice, its always good music/DJs, the drinks r great, the vibes r amazing, and the people are diverse. As a 22 year old woman I've ALWAYS felt safe at Necto. If you're someone with anxiety about going out, for whatever reason, Necto is the perfect first club experience! I personally recommended Friday for LGBT night for the safest, most community forward feel, but Saturdays and Mondays are great too!
Yo the Managers here all suck and are so rude staff members and all, they all just don’t care about anyone. Bartenders are the only nice people that work here. And the music keeps getting worse and worse every-time nobody dancing at all it’s terrible.
Had an EMPTY flask thrown away that was given as a gift. Tall bald guy unnecessarily rude, even admitted to “rage baiting” us. All the other staff were great
Lively, upbeat, and above all, fun! This 3 story nightclub imbedded in a historic Ann Arbor building boasts an electric atmosphere that is immediately noticeable as soon as you get through the front doors. There is simply no better place in town to dance and socialize. It features well-vetted DJs whose sets align perfectly with choreographed visual effects that are guaranteed to drop your jaw all the way to the floor! There are reasonably priced, well maintained pinball machines on the upper levels that add a fun unique touch to the space (a nightclub with an arcade feature?? Let’s go)! It is clear that ownership values safety, inclusivity, and entertainment in every corner of this spacious venue. If you’re looking for an exciting place where you can let go and forget about your worries for a while, look no further - Necto provides something that we all need and deserve.
