Great experience at Wonderland with American Coaster Enthusiasts and the National Roller Coaster Museum yesterday on our field trip to Amarillo. Wonderland is full of unique and rare classic coasters and flat rides and a great value. Texas Tornado is one of a kind and a heck of a lot of fun.
I also really liked Fantastic Journey, the best example of a midway style dark ride I've ever seen. It's very well maintained, detailed and incredibly dark inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the park is clean and well maintained. I wish we could have ridden Hornet, but the trip was still very successful.
Enjoyed afternoon with oldest son and daughter in law, grandkids. Got to enjoy lots of the rides it was a great family time.
Wonderland is the best amusement park in northern Texas. However the park is really stuck in a 50 year old process. Paul really need to modernize their process and operations now that he owns the place. If you buy a season pass you go from a long entry line, to an even longer Guest Services line. The latter processes about 1 guest every 5 mins on average leading to about 1-1.5 hours in line. In this day and age you should be able to supply all the info online, and self take photos for the pass via your phone and just pick up passes. Or even having a row of automatic kiosks that can process more than 2 people at a time. Or even introduce the “fast pass” option where you pay an extra service fee to get priority. This is all both wasted money and efficiency.
We hosted a birthday party here with about 30 people and had an absolute blast! Lines were short, the rides were a hit, and everyone left smiling and tired. We got there around 1pm and stayed until close at 8pm — a full day well spent. Food for the party took a little longer than expected, but it's the start of the season and the new staff are clearly still finding their groove — totally understandable, and they were friendly throughout.
The Frog Hopper was a favorite for my 6-year-old. I still remember bringing my now 14-year-old when she was little and watching her love that same ride — so great to see it still running! For a group that size, we got amazing value and never felt like we were fighting crowds. Love that they're offering season passes now too — absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend for a family outing or a party you'll actually enjoy!
We had a blast. The lines were short. The people were friendly, not just the staff the strangers next to us in line too. Definitely a good choice.
Great customer service 👏 👌 we experienced an issue purchasing the season pass but Chantel made sure to take great care of us. We are so excited to have fun this summer and see what memories can be made under the new management. Looking forward to this season and many more!

★★★☆☆I would have like to have a way to see online what rides were down before traveling in from out of town. Alot of rides were not running- seemed to be down for construction (only 2 were posted to be down for construction) and some just not running. The concessions only had 1 person so they were extremely long waits. And I did not see any water fountains so the Only option was to buy their drinks. We will go back another time to give it another shot, hopefully it will be better- otherwise traveling and spending that much for a gamble if the rides will be going just wouldn’t be worth it.
However- I will say for the locals- the season pass is a Great price!
LOVE WONDERLAND! But only once did we get stuck on a ride and once the pirate ship didn't slow down..., so just think they need a few more rides and a couple upgrades...but over all it's such a fun place and the workers are soooo nice!
