The Allen Islamic Center is truly an outstanding place of worship and community. The masjid is always clean, well-organized, and very welcoming to everyone whether you’re a regular attendee or visiting for the first time.
The khutbahs are meaningful and relevant, and the imams do a great job connecting with people of all ages. They also offer excellent programs for kids, youth, and families, which really helps build a strong sense of community.
Parking is convenient, and the overall environment is peaceful and spiritually uplifting. You can really feel the positive energy and unity here.
Highly recommend this masjid to anyone in the Allen/McKinney area!
I attend taraweeh here during Ramadan, but unfortunately the experience has become overshadowed by prolonged fundraising sessions after Isha. Instead of beginning taraweeh promptly, there are often 30–45 minutes of high-pressure donation appeals.
It feels as though the timing is intentional — knowing that most attendees came specifically to pray taraweeh, fundraising is placed right before it, when people feel obligated to stay. Donations could easily be requested after taraweeh instead, but they are not.
Many of us have work, school, businesses, and responsibilities the next morning. We plan our time carefully to pray, not to sit through extended fundraising pitches that resemble an auction format.
A masjid should be a place of worship, reflection, and Qur’an — not a daily pressure-driven fundraising event. Encouraging sadaqah is important, but it should never feel forced or strategically timed to maximize pressure.

★★★★★Beautiful masjid. Very spacious and open style. Lighting is great too with lots of big windows. The stairs for the upstairs area is also outside which is awesome. I think they were in the middle of construction when we went so basketball court was closed and not really organized interior areas. Not sure if they have enough parking lots though but we went during Asr on a weekday.
Allowed to everyone to be here is the house of god pray, enjoy the moment with the best time of your life with the best people, donations, gym basketball games, feel free to stay pray eat or drink they have the best welcoming, clean area and good organized
I had a funeral I had to go today so I was trying to call and make sure I have the right place and get directions and from 8:00 a.m. no one has answered the phone and you can't leave a message all day no one has answered the phone so I guess I missed the funeral so personally I think this place sucks
Beautiful masjid as well as basketball court. MaShaaAllah the community here is growing.
