The Leyton Star

We'd travelled from Copenhagen where I live now for holiday in London during July, But as a little boy many years ago living local, my dad had introduced me to football by taking me along to Leyton Orient. So England are in this year's world cup 1/4 final against Norway, I really wanted to find and experience the atmosphere at a screening in a good local Leyton pub. I had not visited the Leyton Star before tonight.... and ....WHAT A FANTASTIC AND FRIENDLY PUB, AND manager GEORGE AND HIS STAFF TURNED OUT TO BE!! They did everything to make us feel really welcome, and although FULL of football fans, service was super quick, efficient, attentive and polite throughout a very busy evening. The pub has a brilliant layout inside and a beer garden with various sizes of alcoves outside. There were SO MANY televisions though, so EVERYBODY had a good view of the match. There was a tremendous atmosphere with a great public. Everyone of any age group can look forward to a top class visit and fabulous match atmosphe, and the same on a day without football too! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Special CHEERS for manager George!

Such a lovely pub - we had a birthday here this weekend and George and the team were so welcoming and made it a memorable day. We had the room upstairs for private hire and use of the karaoke room which was amazing. The garden in the back is a great little sun trap and the Patty & Bun burgers were great. Such a great pub!

I'd like to say a massive thank you to all the staff who were working Saturday evening. They went above and beyond to ensure that my party ran smoothly. They were so friendly and accommodating, which made all the difference and eased my stress. I rented the venue for my husband's 40th birthday. Everyone who came had such a great time. It's a great size space, which is nicely decorated. You have your own private bar and toilets, which was perfect. I was also surprised by how reasonably priced it was to rent. I'd definitely recommend the Leyton Star for any private events you'd like to book.

We went for a sunny pint and stayed for the karaoke! (Thanks so much to the lovely staff for accommodating our impromptu karaoke room request as was my sister’s birthday). Was an absolute blast. Nice size karaoke room with a little stage and great selection. Food was also lovely 😻

I booked an area for birthday drinks and highly recommend this place. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the karaoke room was a blast. Great vibes - everyone had a fantastic time!

Went for impromptu drinks for my mates birthday and asked if we could use the karaoke room - manager was really sound and we had the best time. The room is great for parties, got a little stage and great song selection - made our night would 100% return. Also had burgers and fries which came out quickly and were delicious.

Guest beer at the moment (Jan 2026) is San Miguel. Keep drinking it and letting the staff know if you want it to stay! ☺️🍻

Four of us went in for an early Sunday roast lunch, didn’t book, but many had reserved a table for later. The menu was simple, choice of 3 roast mains & a vegetarian option. Food was absolutely excellent, perfectly prepared and cooked, very tasty with plenty of proper gravy - lovely. Attentive staff, great service and exceptional value. Thoroughly recommended!
