Fit This Hackney Gym

Such a great gym and environment. Lovely, helpful staff. Felt comfortable here as a first time gym goer. I was a member for almost 2 years and loved it. Shervon was my personal trainer for that period and I would highly recommend him to anybody.

I had a pretty great workout session here. The staffs are super supportive and helpful. The equipments are good and managed well. The environment is positive and spacious.

I absolutely love this gym! I’ve been a member for 5 years and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Niell is a fantastic PT! The classes are awesome and varied too, special mention to barre and zumba 🩰💃🏻

A lovely independent gym with a community feel - very welcoming, and the 1:1 sessions for new members are fantastic. Patrice was my trainer and made me feel so comfortable and capable after some time away from the gym environment! Great full class schedule too.

Great gym with a really welcoming atmosphere, good coaches and a strong community feel. Always felt comfortable training there and the team genuinely cares about members. Sad to leave due to moving out of the area, but would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality gym in Hackney.

I genuinely regret signing up to this gym. The facilities themselves are decent, but the atmosphere created by the staff and some regular members is incredibly unprofessional. Far too often, the reception area and the weights section are treated like social clubs rather than a gym. Staff and groups of members stand around having loud, extended conversations that can be heard across the floor. It creates constant noise and distraction, making it difficult to focus on training. It’s so infuriating. What’s most frustrating is that this seems to happen regularly and with little regard for people who are actually there to work out. Customers shouldn’t have to listen to shouting, laughing, and ongoing conversations while trying to exercise. Especially when it comes from the staff itself- actually so so frustrating. A gym should be a place where everyone feels comfortable concentrating on their workout, but the lack of professionalism and consideration here makes that almost impossible. I hope management open their eyes about this and address it - it’s become unbearable.

This is by far my favorite gym in London. The facilities are great and they offer a variety of classes every day of the week - all this under one membership and for a very reasonable price. Moreover what makes this gym so special is the staff, they always greet you with a smile and genuine enthusiasm. They care to learn your name and recognize you even upon your 2nd or 3rd visit, which when going to a new gym makes a big difference and makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. I truly believe these good vibes ring through the gymgoers, and I feel very well met by everyone, even without speaking. People are respectful, warm and friendly. Fit This is so well connected by public transport and even after moving further away I’m very happy to be keeping my membership. So happy I found this place! Xx

I was a member of this gym for around 2–3 years and regularly attended as a mother of two young children. Unfortunately, over time the standards declined significantly. The gym became noticeably dirty, with poor cleanliness throughout and visible mould in the sauna area. Equipment was frequently broken or left out of order for long periods, and the sauna environment became increasingly uncomfortable due to groups of members regularly ignoring the rules — including loud music, inappropriate clothing, and pouring oils onto the sauna stones without staff intervention despite repeated complaints. Aside from a few staff members, most seemed unfriendly, were often on their phones, and acted irritated whenever members asked for assistance or raised concerns. My final experience was extremely upsetting. During my last visit, loud music was being played outside the sauna by a group of men. I politely asked several times for it to be turned off, but I was laughed at and ignored. One man then aggressively shouted at me to close the door before forcefully slamming it shut in an intimidating manner. As a woman alone, I felt unsafe and distressed and immediately reported the incident to reception. What disappointed me most was the response from management. Instead of properly addressing the intimidating behaviour I experienced, I was blamed for reacting while distressed and my membership was terminated. I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously, and the situation was handled in a very unprofessional way. To make matters worse, one of the men involved later apologised to me personally and agreed the situation had been handled poorly by staff and management. At that point, terminating my membership was irrelevant as I had already decided not to return. This incident was simply the final straw after ongoing issues and declining standards. Thankfully, there are many better gyms in the area, and I am much happier at a cleaner, friendlier, and more welcoming gym nearby. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a respectful, well-managed, and comfortable environment.
