The Scan Clinic

Just been for a reassurance scan, the staff are incredibly kind & professional. The rooms are very clean & relaxing to be in due to the calm soft music & mood lighting. The staff have provided a lot of reassurance & explained everything in enough detail where non-medical people such as myself & wife can understand. The location is easy to get to as it's not far away from Gants Hill Station. Would 100% recommend if you want a reassurance scan!

We has such a positive experience at this clinic. The staff were very welcoming and it was a clean, calm environment. The sonographer was very friendly, putting us at ease straight. He didn't rush through the scan, taking his time to show us lots of detail of our growing baby. Highly recommend.

They made us feel comfortable and explained everything clearly throughout the procedure. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and relaxing. I had a very good experience during my scan. The staff were professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. Everything was explained clearly, and the process was smooth and efficient. I felt well looked after and would highly recommend this service to others.

I can’t stress enough how much this specific clinic has made me leave with happy tears, they’re all extremely friendly and understanding, the woman who was helping me out from the minute I walked in, whilst I was in the process and up until I left was absolutely amazing! Dr Usman did my scan and gave me amazing news and was just absolutely great and I am so glad I came here! It was totally worth the money and I feel 100% better since I’ve come here!❤️

Very good clinic! My son had an ultrasound performed by Mr Usman. What a fantastic experience! Mr Usman was very professional, patient and compassionate. I visited The Scan Clinic yesterday for a private reassurance scan at 7 weeks 6 days pregnant. After reading lots of positive reviews, I was really looking forward to the experience, but unfortunately I left feeling quite disappointed. I arrived 10–15 minutes before my appointment so I could continue drinking water to fill my bladder for an abdominal ultrasound. However, I was taken into the scan room immediately, before my appointment time, and asked to lie down. When the sonographer arrived, she introduced herself but didn’t smile, ask how I was feeling, or try to put me at ease. The whole interaction felt very clinical and rushed. As expected, my bladder wasn’t quite full enough because I hadn’t had the extra time I planned to finish my water. I asked if I could go back to the waiting room for a little while to drink more so we could continue with an abdominal scan, but I was told no and instructed to empty my bladder for an internal scan instead. As someone with PCOS, I’ve had internal scans before and find them extremely uncomfortable. Being in the first trimester and already feeling nauseous and uncomfortable, I was hesitant. I went ahead with it because I felt I didn’t really have a choice, which was disappointing considering I’d paid privately for a reassurance scan. Since I had actually been seen before my scheduled appointment time, there would have been enough time to allow me to continue drinking water if that option had been offered. The sonographer did congratulate us once she confirmed everything looked healthy, which I appreciated, but overall she came across as quite blunt and seemed eager to finish and return to her office. A little warmth and empathy would have made such a difference, especially during such an emotional milestone. I also found the policy of not allowing a short video of the scan screen disappointing. For a private scan, I think many parents would value being able to capture those precious first moments. The positive is that we got wonderful news, our baby measured well with a strong heartbeat, which we’re incredibly grateful for. However, the overall customer experience didn’t match what I expected from a private clinic. We were hoping this would be a memorable and reassuring experience, but unfortunately it felt rushed and impersonal. As we’re planning to have a few more reassurance scans during the pregnancy, I’ll probably think twice before booking here again
