My go to place every Saturday for breakfast. MY LOVE FOR HALWA PORI IS INDEED INFINITE. And this place is best for fresh Halwa puri now everyone recognise me there and everyone is nice specially the old uncle who serves is the Jan of this restaurant. Those who are local their they know how busy it hets on weekends and how he handle every order smoothly. I always order half portion for Halwa puri and Half for pathory. I love garma garam crispy Puriyan, the halwa they serve is yum, ny fav thing is bhujiya omg can’t wait to go again this weekend. And sometimes their chana’s are too good and sometimes average. I also order Namkeen lasi which is quite good. The food is 10/10 but the only thing I hate is their sitting I mean they should expand the sitting area because they het very very busy

Visitor notes
The food is great. We had Breakfast of Halwa puri everything is perfect specially the halwa is to die for and Price is so reasonable. Food quality is 5stars I would give more than 5 if it’s possible.
Tried Halwa Puree at Ilford and other places and this one is the best!!! No nonsense!! Just pure flavour and atmosphere!! Make sure you order the Kashmiri Chai with your halwa puree not water! It enhances the taste. Between 8am and 3pm Saturday / Sunday and they are non stop! The brother who serves you is always full of banter. Only downside is that they want you out as soon as you finish eating. Gets a bit uncomfortable. Hence the 2 star for service.
I came all the way from Denmark just to try their famous halwa puri after hearing so many great things about it. It definitely lived up to the hype. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I didn’t waste my money at all. It was completely worth it, and I’d happily come back again!
Bought chana puri, it was good the potato bhaji was little on the sour side. Chana was good but could have been more soft. Puri was excellent freshly made. Place was extremely busy and bit crowded. Limited seating capacity.
Al Kareem Sweets, based in East London, is a must-visit spot if you’re craving a traditional Desi breakfast. Known for their weekend special – Halwa Puri – this place stands out in a sea of local options. With so many shops offering Halwa Puri in the area, it’s hard to find one that truly gets everything right. But Al Kareem Sweets delivers the full experience, and in my opinion, they’re the best around. Their Halwa Puri combo is nothing short of delicious. The puris are light, fluffy, and perfectly golden – not oily or soggy. The chana (spicy chickpeas) are cooked to perfection with just the right kick of flavour, and the suji halwa is smooth, rich, and not overly sweet – just how it should be. It’s the kind of breakfast that hits the spot and leaves you wanting more. What takes the meal to the next level is their sweet lassi. Thick, creamy, and served chilled, it’s the perfect companion to the spicy and savoury dishes. The lassi is mouth-watering and refreshing – easily one of the best I’ve had in East London. Despite being busy, especially on weekends, the service is efficient and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is lively, and there’s a real sense of community among the regulars who clearly know this place is a gem. If you’re in the area or even just visiting, Al Kareem Sweets is worth trying at least once – though odds are, you’ll be coming back. Between the top-tier Halwa Puri and the unforgettable sweet lassi, this place offers a weekend breakfast experience you don’t want to miss.
This is the very best halwa puri spot in london. I think it's better then Pakistan. We visited from USA even we can't find that kind of Halwa puri in USA, if you are halwa puri lover must visit Thai restaurant they serve all kind of Pakistani sweet and nimkos. I wish I could give 10 star to this spot. The uncle served puri at the table was very nice. Forget to tell about sweet lassi with Malai was super good too. Thank you.
Hate to be a gentrifying force, but the halwa puri here is phenomenal. Come on weekends to get it. Fried bread, chana masala, onion/mango achar, potato curry, and the sweet sweet suji halwa (semolina pudding). Get the sweet lassi with your meal you won't regret it.
