We came here for a drink and a light bite. It was a lovely day, so we sat outside at the front, which is a great spot for people-watching. We ordered a selection of small plates, and they were all really tasty. I had a pint, while my wife enjoyed a G&T. It was a relaxing visit with good food and drinks.

Visitor notes
I visited Founder’s Hall over Christmas with my partner and our dog, and it turned out to be a great choice. The place feels like a cosy mix between a pub and a restaurant bar, and the atmosphere was spot on for the season. It was warm, lively, and had a nice view of the Christmas market outside, so we could people-watch while we ate. We weren’t sure at first if dogs were allowed, so I asked the bartender. She couldn’t have been more welcoming. She let us know that dogs were absolutely fine and even pointed out the signature chair they have for them, which was a nice touch. Ordering through the QR code on the table was simple and quick. The food was excellent. Everything came out hot, fresh, and really tasty. The drinks were just as good. The service overall was friendly, fast, and done with genuine care, which made the visit feel relaxed and easy. The only downside was the toilet. It wasn’t as clean as it could have been. Still usable, but definitely the weakest point of the visit. On the other hand, the restroom area itself was spotless and well kept, so it seemed like it just needed a quick check-over. Overall, a lovely visit. Great food, great service, dog-friendly, and a perfect spot for a Christmas outing. Would happily come back.
Just shared a wonderful lunch at Founders Hall. This was our first visit and certainly will not be our last. The place, the staff, the drink and food were all simply perfect. Cracking choice of drinks. The kind lady behind the bar let me sample Citrus Bloom... delicious!! The menu was spot on. Great chouce of tapas small plates. Delicious and good value for money. The staff so welcoming and friendly. Liam in particular was exceptional. Indeed a credit to JW Lee's. He was so attentive and friendly. Thanks to all at Founders you made a special day for my wife and very much more so. Best wishes to you all. We WILL see you soon. Lee and Yvonne (Firswood, Manchester)
Popped in to try the cask Boddingtons and avoid the Christmas market. Ended up having a tasty lunch whilst there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Very clean pub.
We recently spent a few days in Manchester and Founders Hall became our go to place. We sat on the terrace for hours, people watching on the square, the food was fabulous and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing chat with good quality beer and wine. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want to meet with friends and while away the hours. We will definitely be back.
We always have a great time at Founders Hall. Good beer and good atmosphere. We would like to give a shout out to Liam who makes us feel so welcome and brilliant customer service. He is a real credit. We usually visit on Fridays twice a month and visit other Lees pubs in the North West and North Wales. We would recommend looking at different more upbeat bands maybe on Fridays! Very decent with table service available. Very simple but good food menu although the beer is a little fussy as bespoke to the pub itself. Altogether a very pleasant experience and a recommended experience. The beer taster flight was especially appreciated by my group.
A quick stop for lunch. Tea. Coke and Fish and Chips/Cheese Pie. (Our go-to when in an unfamiliar place). Excellent. Really well cooked. The pie was pronounced, "Best yet". My fish was a weee bit overcooked but I like it that way! Everyone was warm and welcoming. Great value. Thank you all!
