It’s my favourite gallery in town. I love photography and this place constantly gives me inspiration. I went to the German foundation prize exhibition, especially like the series about displacement and dreams. Checked out the bookshop. They also have a black and white photo booth at the entrance. Perfect spot to visit in London. It has free entry every Friday after 5pm.

Lovely gallery dedicated to photography, hosted a lot of great photography exhibitions. I went to the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize 2026 , shortlisted Jane Evelyn Atwood, Weronika Gęsicka, Amak Mahmoodian and Rene Matić, winner Rene Matic, my personal favourite was Jane Evelyn Atwood work on incarcerated women and the space they are in.
Hidden gem amongst the hustle and bustle of Central London. Very helpful and friendly staff, lots to see and do, if you need a break there is a on-site cafe. I like to revisit every few years since studying photography, really great place if you need inspo.
A place to browse, see, have a coffee and buy. There are three floors with exhibitions (for which a modest entrance fee is needed), a shop, cafe and a 'print sales' section. I went specifically to view the 'Martin Parr: A Fair Day' gallery of his signed silver gelatin prints, and for sale - amazing captures. The shop itself is an Alladins Cave of books, magazines, zines, film and more. I also enjoyed the high quality exhibitions, particularly fascinating was that by Weronika Gęsicka. Also, they have a great website Definitely worth a visit.
What an amazing gallery! For sure a mandatory stop if you like photography. Amazing exhibitions (check the schedule). You can go for free from 10am to 11am, but the ticket it’s not expensive! They also have a very cool shop and a good café!
We really liked the Boris Mikhailov temporary exposition but the permanent one is also really nice It’s heartwarming seeing people of all ages from a century ago having fun with the newly invented Photo Booth And then at the exit you can get your own photos with a traditional Photo Booth :) for an extra 7£ obviously
The place it self is an art how charmful the design looks It’s just amazing the photos shared are well taken by nice photografers i really enjoyed my tour in it such a nice and recommanded one.
From it's former location, until now, I've often debated the title as it, for me, never been just a gallery for photographers, any story teller, fine artist and anyone who finds joy and vitality in the practice of any visual art will find any time spent here valuable. Such nourishment should be enjoyed by all who visit the city, at least once. Do try, if possible, to avoid when school trips are installed, allow them to have the place to themselves and try to not tut at them when you are waiting for the lift. Use the stairs instead.
