Our Morocco trip with TruTravels exceeded all expectations. Idriss, our guide from Marrakech, was outstanding and made the experience so memorable. As female travellers, we felt safe and well looked after throughout the entire trip. His local knowledge and friendly nature gave us a real insight into Morocco. We would highly recommend the Morocco Uncovered tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure.

Where do I even begin! I’ve just spent the best 2 weeks of my life travelling around Vietnam with my tour guide Chris! The whole trip was very well planned out and Chris did an amazing job and made sure we all had the best time! He was always so happy and positive, and I believed he made this trip amazing! We were given many recommendations for activities and food every place we went, including taking us to a cool multi story club in Hanoi for New Year’s Eve!! The whole group came together really well and I have made best friends that I will continue seeing after the tour. Just want to say a massive thank you to Chris for making this trip really special and fun and will never forget all the amazing memories I made throughout the 2 weeks, best tour guide ever !!!

TruTravels' Colombia 9 day uncovered tour provides the best, most authentic TRUE experience of this beautiful and misrepresented country. Each day was an adventure that gifted me with unforgettable experiences and taught me valuable lessons and the history of Colombia, which EVERYONE should know! Visiting Colombia on this tour was one of the best experiences I've ever had: meeting locals and learning about their life, not just the tourist hotspots. Though you get to enjoy some of those magnificent places too, you will gain a better understanding of them and why it matters! The tour makes you well looked after and the tour guides are the best I have ever had! Colombia is a beautiful country that the media and history has distorted in the worst ways and should be at the top of everyone's bucket list.

I just finished the Moroccan uncovered 9 day tour with Tru travels and Driss and it was the most amazing experience! I exceeded all of my expectations. Our tour guide, Driss was the most amazing tour guide a gal could ask for when travelling Morocco. He went above and beyond every single day to make the experience safe and special. He organised activities outside of the itinerary to immerse us in an authentic cultural experience and support the locals. He took the time to get to know everyone personally and made sure everyone laughed and smile all day, everyday. Driss truely became a friend for everyone on tour with his kind heart, welcoming nature, and passionate guidance. Tru Travels are very lucky to have him, and anyone who gets him as a guide will walk away having met someone so special. The itinerary itself was perfect. We saw such a diverse range of sites from cities to the countryside, mountains, and the Sahara desert, without spending too much time travelling. Even the travel days were enjoyable, with Abdo, our driver who drove us safely from A-B. We stopped often for lunch/snack breaks or cooperatives to support the locals in the area. I couldn’t recommend Tru Travels, this trip, and Driss more highly, it was an unforgettable experience with a lifetime of friends and memories. Life is good.

Morocco Uncovered was even more incredible than I expected. From the bustling streets of Marrakech, to local villages in the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert - Morocco has it all. We were able to see and do so much on this trip and truly feel immersed in Moroccan culture. The trip was made even more amazing by our tour guide, Driss, who went above and beyond to make every experience special. Especially taking us to women owned places as a group of girls. As a female traveller I felt safe in Morocco as part of this group, and I’m truly grateful to have booked onto such an amazing trip and made so many core memories. Life is good ❤️

The GWT Morocco Uncovered trip has been truly exceeding. Every moment was inclusive, educational and just so much fun. We were fed so well, the accommodation was fantastic (special mention must go to the penultimate night which was in the High Atlas Mountains), and everyone was game for all the optional activities, which really took the trip up to another level (ATVs in the Sahara, hill trekking etc). Driss included so many more things on the itinerary than were listed on the webpage, including talks with local artisans about carpet-making, Argan oil, Moroccan herbs and spices, and many more. This really brought the trip up from a great trip to an exceptional trip. My overall highlight is meeting many Amazigh/Berber locals, and getting to know their culture. I didn’t know this would be part of the trip, but I have found it so enriching to learn about people who I didn’t know anything about before. From having lunch in a Berber household, to meeting women who run their own artisan businesses, and hearing local live music in front of a campfire in the Sahara. Driss is the perfect guide. He made us feel safe, and looked after throughout the entire trip. He treated us like queens, and really made an effort to help us embrace the Moroccan and Amazigh cultures. He also made a special effort to take us to female-run businesses, and we got to meet loads of amazing women. It is also clear that he is passionate about supporting these amazing women, which is so great. It must be worth mentioning that Driss went out of his way to add touches of magic to the trip. For example, in the Sahara desert, he surprised us with small bottles which we could fill with sand and take home with us as souvenirs. He is responsible for making this trip so special and memorable, and none of us will forget it. I am glad to call him a friend now!

Recently did the 9 day Thailand trip with gals who travel/tru travels with the best tour guide Sea! She made the trip so amazing with the best recommendations and guides for each stop of our trip, she is a great photographer and became a friend as well! Her vibes were perfect for the group as most people were solo and she really helped everyone feel comfortable. The trip would not have been what it was without Sea!

I did two tours with Tru (Cusco and the Central American Adventure) and they were both amazing. The itinerary and transport between locations (you are moving A LOT) was on the whole smooth and well organised. Both guides were friendly, informative and everyone in both groups was lovely which makes such a difference. My reason for putting three stars is due to the fact that there are so many additional (and expensive) activities despite Tru Travels stating they are not one of those tour companies. Compounding this, the tour guys tended to take you to quite expensive and often not that good restaurants. However if you budget more than you think, and are firm if you don’t want to eat somewhere these tours are amazing.
