Workers Cafe

Used to go here used years ago when it was more of a greasy spoon and been here a couple times recently. It’s definitely moved with the times and has lovely relaxed atmosphere inside. On my 2 recent visits I ordered a bacon and egg baguette and a cup of tea, the first time I was given a sausage and egg baguette and the second time the order was correct. Even though the first order was wrong this wasn’t problem for me, especially as both times the food was absolutely delicious, could tell all the ingredients were of a high quality and they toasted the baguette so it had a bit of a crunch to it which for me took the food to another level. Would definitely go back here.

My go-to cafe in Islington! The full English is cooked to perfection in every way! I highly recommend giving it a go!

In a street well served by flashy bars & eateries, Workers Cafe seems seems quite low key. Pleasant contemporary interior, friendly staff & really good food. Everything we had was well presented & interesting. Particularly recommend the meze. As we were eating early in the evening it was very quiet but we felt welcome & were served quickly. Really liked this place.

I've started to come back here a couple of times a month early on Sunday for the breakfast (Used to come here regularly with a close friend before he passed away) They've since had a refurb but it's still a very relaxing, welcoming place to come to. The service is great and the food, breakfasts are fantastic (You can make your own breakfast options up if the set option is too much for you which I usually do) I'd say this is still arguably the best café of it's type on Upper street (Although I maybe slightly biased given my past connection to the place:) Definitely worth a visit if you're up this way.

Great cafe by day with good coffee and matcha. Lovely setting and staff!
