The Finnieston

Fantastic night celebrating my mum’s birthday. The food was excellent, with a great selection that meant everyone found something they loved. The service really stood out—attentive without being overbearing and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Christie and Raj were amazing and took great care of us all evening, making the night feel extra special. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Defo recommend The Finnieston, west end part of argyle street. The garden terrace is perfect setting for their great food/drinks - reasonably priced too 👍. Special mention for Zoe who helped us chose wine, very knowledgable, and generously brought us several samples - really nice touch. Only issue was people smoking in the enclosed terrace, thought that was banned but another staff member didn’t question it.

The small plates menu was excellent. Each dish was better than the last. The lobster roll was sensational. Great value with a drink included on the Sunday menu.

I sat at the window to watch the street activity. The bartender gave me a menu after I decided to stay and eat. The wait staff came over and answered questions about the food. I had the cray fish Mac n cheese as well as the gnocchi. Both were amazing! I also had some olives and some clams. I left The Finnieston with an overly full stomach and great photos. The building itself was amazing, I wanted to get a photo of the fireplace in the dining room, but felt I would be disturbing the guests. All in all, 5/5 experience!

They fit us in as walk ins , food was great and fresh with different options , service was fantastic the guy knew the food and where it all came from , very nice place to try if in Glasgow !

The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The overall texture of the dishes was quite soft. I tried the ginger pork on the menu, and it came out like a rolled style, which was a nice surprise.

We recently had our wedding meal and evening reception at The Finnieston and couldn’t be happier with how our day went!! From our first visit to the Oyster Bar as a potential reception venue we knew from speaking with Zoe that this is where we wanted to host our wedding. We were also offered the option to hire their outdoor courtyard for our meal which we knew would work perfectly for our vision. Zoe was so professional, warm and friendly throughout the entire process. She was super communicative on email and would keep us updated with any suggestions from her team as to what they could with for us. Nothing was ever too much and she was so flexible between menu choices, drinks lists, venue decor and set up. On the day itself, the team were incredible and we all felt to well looked after. Despite the unpredictable weather (storm Amy!), Zoe and her team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and the venue was set up exactly how we had envisioned. The food was absolutely delicious, from bar snacks on arrival to dinner and our evening buffet, we couldn’t be more grateful to the chefs and kitchen team for the food they delivered on the day. Everyone was raving about it. A special thank you also goes to the bar tenders working in the Oyster Bar who were nothing but charming and professional throughout the entire evening. Thank you a million times over to Zoe and everyone else at The Finnieston. We had the BEST time and will hold a special place for this restaurant for years to come. See you again for our first anniversary?!

Husband and I went in for a couple of drinks pre gig at the ovo (nice 10-15minute walk away) and it was a lovely way to start an evening. Staff where knowledgable and friendly and the they even made me another cocktail on the house when mine slid off the table! We’ll be back again for sure. Thanks guys!
