Istanbul Restaurant Manchester

If you want a fabulous, personable and enjoyable dining experience then you must visit Istanbul in Manchester. Arrived late on Sat evening and there is a designated car park (plenty of free street parking) Immediately upon entering warmly greeted by the front entrance staff and every member of staff is a credit to this place. Super friendly and helpful. Decor is lovely and space is large and the toilets were very clean with another seating area upstairs. Music being played (traditional Turkish) adds authenticity and isn't overly loud. Food was first class. From the lentil soup to one of the best hummus I have ever had. Truly delightful. Fresh and warm bread immediately given with lovely sauces and olives. Each item ordered including our drinks came promptly. I have hands down never been to any restaurant where the service was that quick. Impressive! For the quality of food, service, ambience and the price Istanbul is a MUST VISIT and a place I will happily recommend and can't wait to return.

Got take out but wowww, the food was so delicious!!! No dry meat here. Well seasoned and the portions were big. My fav were defo the lamb ribs and chicken wings. Wasn't a massive fan of the dipping bread as it was quite dry and thick - but no biggie

We barely sat down and 3 staff asked us what to order without even looking at the menu. The food did come out quick. Nice food but we paid the jumbo platter which is nearly £100 on its own but wasn't worth the amount. It says it was for 5/6 people but barely enough for 4 people. It took them ages to clean the table to bring out the deserts. Good looking place but wouldn't go again.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were genuinely 10/10 — warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The food was just as impressive: fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Brilliant atmosphere, amazing food, Highly recommend — can’t wait to come back.

We ate there for Eid dinner. We waited for two hours to get a seat. Service was not the best as when inside I can see there were having some empty tables but they took time to give to waiting customers. We did really enjoyed the food though. Good taste and not dry at all. I know it was a very busy evening but toilet should have had someone to clean it often as there was so much tissues everywhere.

I recently visited Istanbul Restaurant with a group of friends while in Manchester, and it was a great experience overall. I ordered the chicken platter, which was really tasty and well-portioned. The food came out fresh and full of flavour. The service was excellent throughout staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was spot on for us. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Manchester and looking for a good meal with great service!

The food was good, but the whole experience felt chaotic. Service was poor, and it felt like a cattle market. It was difficult to get a waiter’s attention, and when you did, the service was still slow and disorganised. On arrival, there was no clear information about waiting times, and communication overall was lacking. The front desk staff came across as quite unfriendly and disengaged. The only moment of real attention was when asking for the bill. Overall, the food is the only strong point, but the service and organisation really let the place down.

I discovered this place a few weeks ago and had been threatening to come back - god am I glad I did. I ordered a Lamb Kofte Beyti - if you know, you know - divine is the only way to describe how tasty this was. I was also given a plate of breads and dips and kindly asked if I was fasting. All the food coming out to all the tables looks incredible. The quality of the meats, salads and dips is top notch. Excellent service from the staff, clean bathrooms, hot water from the taps which is unheard of since the end of covid. I’m so glad I will be working nearby in future so I can come back regularly. Couldn’t recommend enough!
