Frog Island Park

Just by COINCIDENCE! A city employee pulls up I asked who do you call for the loose dogs, his answer was Washtenaw County! I'm sure that's not correct. He watched several dogs off leash but made no calls to report it Lots of bad dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs and not on leashes.

We love Frog Island Park and hope to see it become the future Depot Town + Ypsilanti main soccer venue for competitive 11v11 games. We hope for a turf field with lights and a wider player surface to be usable for UPSL or MWPL games. It's very bumpy grass right now with concrete footers on the sides that make injuries common during games. Many player have rolled their ankles and injured knees from the lumpy surface. But we absolutely love this location and it's an amazing arena feel right next to the Huron River. And close to home. Please consider supporting and advocating for future soccer field improvements to this venue. We are one of the teams that hopes to play at Frog Island long term and to give local Ypsilanti soccer players a chance to be part of an organized, competitive team. The field and park needs a public restroom also.

An excellent park with multiple bridges and water access right in the heart of the city. Plenty of green space and play areas for the children. Porta-pottys are available.

I didn’t get to explore much of this park because the mosquitoes were in full spawn! but the small area I walked was beautiful and people were just relaxing and enjoying nature. I noticed the area is full of down to earth, cool, easy going people. I love a park where everyone is chill. 🥰

Frog Island is the perfect place to walk. I love the water that flows while walking.

Frog island Park is a well taken care of park. It's clean and well matnenced. It has hosted many fun events. If your looking to walk, go fishing, stage a outdoor concert, or host a soccer tournament frog island is your park to check out.

This is a beautiful park. I actually stumbled on it trying to find free parking bc I wanted to visit the Ypsilanti fire house museum. In saying that... It is a 3 minute walk to the museum. This worked out great bc on the way back to the car.. This Park has a great playground, walking trails, and a bathroom. They also have a farmers market that happens local to this Park. I feel like u could have made a day out of hanging in this part of Ypsilanti with better planning. So please learn from my mistake lol I parked at this location and spent the day at the Park and museums. Had a great time. I saw lots of people fishing at the Park and grilling. I wish I would have packed more snacks and a cooler of beverages to stay at the Park longer. The kidsos got hungry and I hadn't don't any research on the areas restaurants. BUT there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. This is the historic part of Ypsilanti. Cost me zero dollars. Had an AMAZING time.

It's good for walking and spending a nice time with your family and friends there is no swimming area and a small playground area
