Museum of the Bizarre

Always something cool to see here. I enjoy reading the letters on the wall. Seen the sword swallowing. Took some cute pictures where permitted. Bought a drink and postcards. It was nice I come here often.

Weird, interesting, and a little crazy all crammed into one small building. My boys thought it was awesome. Just a heads up—there are some graphic homicide photos inside. They’re covered, but curious kids move fast… two of mine beat me to it and saw some pretty gruesome stuff 😅. Definitely worth checking out, just keep an eye on the little ones! The manager was awesome, the mirror maze was really cool but small.

If you are looking for intriguing off the beaten path fun. This is the place to go! Eric did a fantastic show with his ability to swallow knives. Take your time and look in the cases. You will be memorized by the finding.

my fiancee & i came here as we love bizarre & weird things.. it did not disappoint! actual horror movie props, serial killer photographs & hand written notes, bizarre animals like 2 headed calf & 5 legged goat, & so much more to offer for a great price! the mirror maze was small but so fun & a bit spooky (you have to wear gloves when doing the maze which is a VERY smart idea as mirror mazes involve lots of touching of glass) 😊 we will definitely be back for more bizarre things & will definitely have to get a t-shirt next time!

It was a lot of fun!! The humor that was embedded in the artifacts was a complete hoot!! 😂😂 The mirror maze was way more fun than I had expected!! If you are in the area… do check it out.!

been here many times over the years when visiting and it’s always great. this time i went, i misunderstood what the guy said and he immediately got a nasty attitude with me. god forbid i misheard you dude! chill! you can go if you want, it’s a great deal and cool stuff. just walk on eggshells with the staff, this heat is getting to them!

We visited on a weekday and there was only a few other people. We had purchased a Groupon for the entry fee. The regular fee is $3 per person. They have 2 other optional exhibits, a laser room and a mirror room that you can pay separate fees for. Parking is on the street. They ask for you not to take photos except at specific photo spots. There are cabinets filled with the odd and unusual. A bit of movie memorabilia, some haunting and witch stories from around NC, a corner about serial killers. Decor is gothic in style. While there a gentleman did a sword swallowing exhibition for tips. We visited with our young adult sons and had a fun time. There is a single public restroom.
