My review is for the year round farm stand. It’s the same place where there’s the seasonal pumpkin patch. Dave's Fresh Produce Stand is an open air farm stand in West Sacramento. I was in the area buying fresh crabs at the Ferrari Fisheries pop up stand which was down the road... a few minutes drive. So I popped on over to Dave's. But wait a minute, the stand used to be named Vierra Farms. Same place, different name. Déjà vu. The stand sells fruits, vegetables, fresh cut flowers, local Becker honey, packaged dried fruit, frozen filleted fish from Ferrari Fisheries, and a variety of animal feed ( for horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc). The product pricing is on par with a grocery store or possibly cheaper; the quality is way better than my local grocer. I bought mandarins, onions, bell peppers, leafy lettuce, beets, and a flower. The flowers were $3 a stem. The produce looked all so gorgeous and fresh and tasted great.

I thought most of these reviews on here were pretty harsh so I came to see. Almost didn’t come because of them . Whoever runs their social media really needs to do PR because the reviews are bad . This place is wonderful for toddlers ! Older ones maybe not quite as much . We personally had a blast . We also went on a Monday! Easy parking, not a huge crowd . Positives 1.) we brought cash 2.) it was small enough to walk around and not over whelming at all 3.) lots of shade to eat 4.) fun activities 5) easy to find Now I will say def room for improvement 1.) the horse lady both of them are super rude and seem like they hate their life . Replace them immediately. My daughter was not feeling them at all. I asked if we could ride and they just stood there . I asked how can I pay? Again no answer lol 2.) shade over the corn pit woukd be amazing 3.) make sure to post very clear cash accepted online and hours . I had to go search to find them and that’s when I saw the bad reviews . We had fun personally o will be back ! Only $12 to get in and was great for my three year old!

Great place for the kids. Steep in price. Be prepared spend. Went today (Saturday) spent $55 for 2 adults and a child. $20 pony ride. $38 on lunch. $26 on 2 pumkins There was a lot to do though.

We have been coming here for many years. They offer fruits and vegetables for sale, the annual pumpkin patch, annual Christmas tree farm, etc. We loved the Halloween spirit and the wide open spaces. There are a number of activities for kids...hay bale maze, jumping activity, pony rides, animals, climbing and more. There was also a large corn maze, which we enjoyed for about an hour. Plus they have lots and lots of pumpkins, plenty of parking and a friendly staff.

CASH or CHECK ONLY Dave's Pumpkin Patch has an ATM but it will cost you $5.25 plus your banking fees to withdraw cash. On weekends it's $20 for adults to get in and includes the corn maze and hay ride as well as the kiddie attractions like a pirate show and corn box (think sand box). The target audience here is definitely for young children. You can also pay $70 for a family of four. The food here is mediocre at best. I tried to order Dave's Big Salad, but they were out of salad, so ordered a tri tip plate which came with potato salad and beans. To my surprise, it wasn't a plate, it was on a hot dog bun with about 2 oz of dry meat and was $17. Water is $3, soda is $4. I would recommend the hamburger or cheese burger. It looked really good. The maze was actually challenging and seemed well created. I would definitely recommend the corn maze. The fresh produce looked great and there a lot of good pumpkins to choose from. Overall it had a cute layout and there were lots of photo ops for families. The pumpkins were sold by size and ranged from $1.50 for the tiny ones and from medium to large were $8, $10, $12. If you are choosing between Bishop's and Dave's, I would choose Bishop's, but this is closer to Sacramento and gets the job done. Just remember to bring cash.

During the fall, the pumpkin patch conversation often comes up with my real estate clients. Dave's Pumpkin Patch is fun for groups with kids or even for groups of grown ups. Some of the highlights are the corn maze (which is haunted after dusk on weekends I believe), jumping pillow for kids, the hay ride to the pumpkin patch, corn pits (for kids). Sometimes they have little animal races. Kids also love the pony rides! The balloon artist (Dilly Dally the clown) will nearly always be on site and will crack you up. There is BBQ plus a snack shack with popcorn, fresh apple cider donuts, and more. Plenty of space to sit at the picnic tables under the trees. In the evenings when it gets chilly, there are also fire pits in the seating areas. This place is a cash only operation. Refreshing since so many places are choosing to not accept cash these days. They do have an ATM on site if needed. Make sure you visit the farm stand to grab some locally grown produce on the way out! If you want to miss the crowds, the best time to go is on a weekday of course. Sometimes there are school field trips for a few hours and then it quiets down.

Dave’s is a great place. Feels like it’s out far and peaceful but it is close to central sacramento. There is tons of space, shade covered tables, and plenty of entertainment for both the kids and adults. Kids have options like a giant jumping pillow, watching pig races, climbing mountains of hay, a corn kernel pit and tractor rides. Also an outdoor film on projector if you’re there late. There’s more that I’m sure I’m not remembering. All of this is included in the cost of the bracelet. At an extra cost they may also get pony rides. The corn maze was well done and entertaining for kids and adults. Adults can hang on the tables near a fire pit and enjoy cocktails from the pop up bar. There is constant grilling, anything from hot dogs to tri tip sandos and the fries are always great. Have a fresh made donut or waffle for dessert. I was there last Friday and there was live music, it was wonderful to watch with the delta breeze. The place is cash only, but there is an atm on site. Better to bring your own to circumvent the fees though. I was able to grab veg for shopping in my way out also by hitting the farm stand. Pumpkins are normal for pricing. All in all, solid place to spend some time.

Really don’t appreciate paying $15 for a small hoagie roll with about an oz oz nd a half of tri tip on it. Would rather yall charge for entry than be over charged for some bullshit like this.
