Ohio Caverns

We did the combo tour (historical and natural wonder), and it was great! The guides were informative and made some occasional funny comments. I personally had not been here since I was very young (and the historical section was not available to tour). We definitely recommend visiting, especially if you enjoy caves. The natural wonder portion is full of really nice stalagmites and stalactites! Thanks again for a great time!

Hands down one of mine and my kids favorite things to do when we have some free time we have done the natural wonders tour twice and the historic once and we will be back soon to hit the historic one again. We took my daughter’s boyfriend for his first time in a cave and mining for gems after was the cherry on top. With the summer days so hot going into the cool caves is a great way to cool off.

The drive was beautiful! There is absolutely no service down in the caves, in the case that you have anxiety. The stairs at the end are no joke. I took 45 of those on no problem. 60 stairs and I couldn't catch my breath. The cave was beautiful. Everyone was friendly. 10/10 recommend as a group outing or a date.

This was a great experience for our family. Our 6 year old and 3 year old both had a blast walking through the caverns and mining for gems. The staff are wonderful and our tour guide Zoe was fabulous and she was so sweet to our kids. Definitely more visits to come in our future!

very nice caverns with a fun tour guide named Logan. The various colors in the cave were indeed wonderful. Loved the fields of stalagtites and stalagmites. The variety of formations was wonderful to see. great time. the gift shop was nice too.

Breathtaking, took the combo tour, guides were friendly and knowledgeable. This place is awesome. I do recommend some good shoes though, it's easy to slip in the caverns.

This system was absolutely amazing! Almost otherworldly in some places. Drove nearly 3 hours just to come see this spot as a curious cave nerd and it was totally worth it in my opinion. Our tour guide Jackson was also incredibly knowledgeable and cracked some good jokes along the way which the whole group enjoyed! Had a beautiful array of stalactites, stalagmites, touch stones, soda straws, a striking bowl-shaped pool known as the Crystal Sea where ACTIVE stalactites are still forming(!), and much more. Definitely recommend at least the Winter Tour where you can get a good mix of geology lore + history about the cave.

Ohio Caverns is a decent variety of caves to explore in the USA. Comparatively, they are not the best caves like in Kentucky and New Mexico, but they have short 30–50 minute tours to explore small to medium-sized calcite formations. It's a one-time visit place. They have clean washrooms and picnic area outside of visiting center
