Laurelwood Arboretum

I have never been to such a beautiful park before! It is so tranquil, beautiful and peaceful. I went a little after 8am and it was just so beautiful to walk around. The warm air hitting my skin, listening to the birds chip. Seeing the beautiful scenery and so many chipmunks running around! It was truly breathtaking. If you’re an anxious person, this is the perfect place to just sit on a bench and breathe. I live an hour away and I’m excited to take the drive back up to revisit.

A hidden oasis. Well maintained and thoughtfully curated. Highly suggest to grab a map at the entrance to enhance your self-guided tour! Art, nature, animals — what more could you ask for? Also it’s free, as nature should be. There are clean restrooms at the entrance and a little picnic table if you decide to have a snack break. And plenty of parking. Prepare yourself to get joyfully lost in nature ☺️

This is our favourite place in all new jersey. We've become parents recently and we come here an hour before work a couple days a week after getting our daughter to daycare. It helps to calm the nervous system down no matter what's the season or the weather🌷🌺🍃

Late April, on a picture perfect day, to visit Laurelwood Arboretum far exceeded my 1st time here experience. I already plan on returning next week to see what spring has awakened.

Although the parking was a bit awkward, the drive was not difficult. Since it was our first time there, we weren’t sure of where to head. The entrance was also a bit awkward but once inside the view and scenery was very nice. As a nature lover, I can say they had an array of different kinds of trees and plant life. Trails are clear and uneven but not a deal breaker. Plenty of trails to go around and explore. Only downside is the exit. There were only a few signs but no trail markers of sorts to lead to the gate. And that would have been helpful if you’re in a pinch and have young kids who need to use the portapotty. Other than that, was a nice walk and great place to explore.

Nice walk with sculptures. A great place to go if your local. Very clean and I’m sure when everything is in bloom it’s beautiful.

Very nicely maintained gardens. Love the sensory garden where I take my elderly father to sit and enjoy. Easy to enter with his walker right next to the parking lot.
