Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum

A beautiful place to spend a few hours. Both inside and outdoor exhibits.Not only are there art exhibits, but there are educational displays on the different methods used in creating the various designs. Lots of animal sculptures, lovely gardens and a water feature. A gift shop is available. Its free to the public, but donations are gladly accepted.

I had a great experience visiting the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. The exhibits were beautiful, especially the photography from Africa, which was very powerful and inspiring. I also loved the photo setup where visitors can take pictures with a backdrop—it was a fun and unique touch. Definitely worth a visit! These pictures were taken July 11, 2025

This place us truly amazing. It's so well put together, clean, and full of people who love where they are and what they are doing. Don't hesitate to pick a brain if you have questions. Anyway is a good day to come but especially wonderful on days when you can bring a snack and eat in the sculpture garden.

They have rotating/differing exhibits. The one I saw were print-making and outdoor sculptures. It's a nice building and the outdoor sections are beautiful. They're renovating the front. Not many people there at all, we went around 10 am on a Tuesday and were able to take our time and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Wonderful! My first time visiting and it was during the Birds in Art exhibit. I'm a bird watcher so I absolutely loved it! I may have to return again before I leave town. If I'm ever in Wisconsin again I hope it's during the Birds in Art annual exhibit. Love that it is free admission too.

The Tiffany exhibition was breathtaking. Cute art museum, friendly and helpful staff. Will return!

This museum is a gem. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s free but a donation is always appreciated. My 8 year old granddaughter was with me and liked it. We did some crafts in the kids area. In addition to the galleries inside there is a rooftop and sculpture garden.

I've been going to the Leigh Yawkey Museum since I was a kid. I've always enjoyed my visits. Heck one time I even had some of my art hanging on the walls there. Maybe it'll happen again sometime. I've seen lots of cool things there over the years. My favorite thus far has been the M.C. Escher exhibit. Today I saw a real Basquiat. No lie! Go there and check it out. Here are some other cool things I saw today!
