Gold's Gym Venice

Gold’s Gym Venice is one of those places every serious lifter should experience at least once. The history alone is worth it—it really does feel like the heart of bodybuilding. The equipment selection is excellent, especially if you’re focused on strength training. There’s a ton of variety, and you can tell this place was built for people who actually train. The atmosphere is unique—definitely more hardcore and high-energy than your average gym. It can get busy, but that’s part of what makes it what it is. If you’re looking for a polished, quiet gym, this probably isn’t it. But if you want an authentic training environment with real energy behind it, it’s hard to beat.

The history of Bodybuilding has been made here. Atmosphere is top notch, still unbeatable today I’d say, however machines are dated. You don’t come here to train with the latest machines and technology, you come here for the people, the vibe, the history. Highly recommended

Servus Arni, My father George, my mother Gigi, and I, Kim, are on a CrossFit and boxing tour through Chicago, Columbus, Cincinnati, Nashville, Miami, Orlando, Panama City, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, and many more destinations as our sporting adventure continues. Everywhere we have gone, we have been welcomed warmly and enthusiastically. We have trained with joy, sweat, and passion. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our experience at Gold's Gym. The reception staff seemed completely uninterested that we had come all the way from Austria, especially from Fürstenfeld in der Steiermark. When we asked when Arni comes to the gym, the response was simply, “He is already old.” Oops—that is not something you should say. What arrogance and ignorance. That is not Arni's style. We only wanted to say “Servus” to Arni because he is our hero. We wanted to purchase three day passes for tomorrow, and we also wanted to park for just two minutes in front of the gym. Instead, we were told to park on the street, even though my father, who is 91 years old, was inside the car. My dad still trains every day at the age of 91, and he was excited about working out in Arni’s gym. Sadly, it was not a welcoming atmosphere, and we found it insulting that we were not allowed to park in front of the gym for just two minutes. To us, Arni is not old. And even if he were, that would be no reason to speak about him in such a disrespectful way. Please, Arni, consider changing your reception team. Anyways we will love you forever Arni! Servus Arni!

Extremely well equipped gym, can be crowded and doesn’t feel like it! $50 for a 24 hour pass

From the outside, the sports hall does not look very nice, with many construction fences around it, and the equipment outside is not very appealing either. The equipment is not the newest. Inside, however, it is a different story: it looks modern, not too warm, and features cool, up-to-date equipment

Great gym, it was a lot more spacious than I’d expected it to be and training using the outside training area under the sun is a must try. The locker room was nice and clean. The vending machine was easy to figure out how to use, they even have a mini built in shop where you can buy their merchandise. Very friendly helpful staff too.

Amazing legendary gym filled with an amazing variety of work equipment… It is literally a playground for people who are really into fitness and especially bodybuilding… It was my first time there on vacation using the guest pass, which is pricey but definitely worth it! The gym is pretty big as well. There are several different sections inside and outside… You also most likely will run into famous people while working out and come to find out it is a pretty normal thing there where no one makes any commotion and everyone just continues to put the work in and have a great session! Oh yeah, with the $50 pass for 24hrs we were able to squeeze in 2 sessions 1 each day , you just had to be there before your 24hr time expired . Good deal when you look at it that way and break it down to $25/day

My favorite Gym in LA. Kudos to Alex who received me at the frontdesk. The best gym for muscle/bodybuilding.
