Black Moth is such an amazing store! I personally love that it is a women owned buisness. I felt obliged to have met one of the co-owners at the Tulsa State Fair, and ever since their booth, I have been wanting to visit the store. Once I finally got to visit the store in person, it did not disappoint. I have heard many people talk about their visits and every one raves about how they love it. Overall, the natural history store feels like a museum, except the items are for purchase. There is so much to browse through. From large pieces to the itiest pieces and everything else inbetween. This is a wonderland of oddities and curiosities. They have inspired me to want to start a specimen collection. I highly recommend visiting.

There's a wide variety of beautiful items! The staff is very pleasant and kind, and did a wonderful job wrapping up my purchases for a long and turbulent flight from Tulsa back to Alaska! Everything made it in one piece. I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Oklahoma!

if you like oddities/taxidermy/preserved animals/bones/crystals/dead shit in general, this is the perfect place for you. i audibly went “wow!” when i opened the door. the place is absolutely incredible. they have huge animal preservations all the way down to bug preservation. the staff genuinely seemed so kind and knowledgeable, they helped me a couple times with questions and holding my items. they just seemed happy to be there and i love that so much for them. this place has so much stuff but is easy to get around in my opinion (i walk with a cane). it should be wheelchair accessible from what i remember. everything looks well put together. there’s large animal heads on the walls like zebras and i think there was a deer amongst others, baskets of cheap animal bones, and sorted bones in other spots, several pelts and tails to choose from like cow/rabbit/raccoon/fox (different colors)/tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog), comedic taxidermy of some raccoons and others, crystals and rocks, wet specimens, posters of flora and fauna/butterflies, turtle shells, different animal paws/feet, jewelry like bracelets and necklaces with preserved bugs or bones, so many preserved butterflies along the back wall- they can get expensive but some of them are rather large and very well preserved, or there’s several of them in one. my death’s head-hawk moth (my fav moth), was as large as they come and was $149 something i’m pretty sure. but they have lots of affordable, cool stuff, so much more than i can remember. i will recommend this place a million times over, and i can’t wait to come back as often as i can!

Black Moth is a truly enchanting and unique shop in Tulsa. Walking inside feels like stepping into a natural history cabinet of curiosities—taxidermy, bones, fossils, minerals, insects, and more. The layout is thoughtfully organized and the displays are beautifully done. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they sell. Prices feel fair, and they carry ethically sourced pieces. Whether you’re a collector, nature lover, or just curious, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

This is literally my favorite store in all of Tulsa. Every time I walk in they will greet you and just make you feel so welcomed. They have so many cool crystal selections and I feel like the price is very good here. I have seen a payment plan just don’t know how that works. And if you aren’t into crystals, they have so many other options for you to get.

Everyone was so nice there! Everything was reasonable priced, I have always had an interest in this type of stuff, so I had to go, I wanted to buy everything! I was so excited I wanted to look at everything, I like to look and touch stuff so it made me comfortable with the stuff I CAN touch! The fur and raccoon at the door way was my favorite! I am going to go again!

I love black moth and go there for all kinds of natural history specimens. They have a great selection of bugs, bones, crystals, fossils, posters, jewelry, wet specimens, local art, perfume oils, incense, and much more. All of the staff is super friendly and always good to chat with. They also have cute shop pets such as princess Diana the bearded dragon if you’re into reptiles!! This is a great place to shop for gifts or shop for your own home. (Note: The pictures attached aren’t taken in store. These are products bought from black moth and photographed in my home.)

I had my first experience here today, and let me tell you, it was amazing!! The staff was friendly and welcomed me in, there's soooo much stuff to look at and they're very helpful! I ended up getting a few smaller things and the prices weren't too bad for the quality. This makes a great gift shop for anyone who loves oddities and crystals! I will definitely be back!
