We actually took a ride on the crawler which brought us through the mountains to different areas of the canyon. It was pretty warm that day, but a lot of fun anyway.

We road the tram up and walked back about 2.5 miles. You can choose other paths as well that are off pavement. The snake is a young rattler. Beautiful walk for a sunset and lots to see. Take a jog, ride a bike and bring water.

We had a Great time! We took the phoneline trail half way and cut off to the paved road, it climbs up in the mountains for a great view of Tucson. This is a moderate intensity walk if you take it from the visitor center round trip it is about 6 miles. Be ready for a stream crossing at the turn around.

We visited on a Wednesday morning and stopped in the visitor center to get advice from the ranger on a good hike to do with kids. Jeff gave us an excellent recommendation for a beautiful loop that took us along part of the Esperero Trail from the visitor center and down the Bluff Trail into the area above Sabino Creek, which was gorgeous! Ranger Jeff also gave our youngest son a Coronado National Forest Junior Ranger booklet, which he completed to earn a Sabino Canyon Junior Forest Ranger patch! We also picked up a Forest Service guide to Mount Lemmon and the Catalina Highway, which was very helpful in planning our trip up the mountain the following day. We loved our time in Sabino Canyon, and the visitor center was one of the highlights!

Great place to go for hiking. Lots of different trails. The visitor center has a lot of information and refreshments.Really enjoyed the “crawler” tram. One hour ride through the canyon with multiple drop off/ stops along the way. They provided headphones to listen to a narration along the way. Stunning view of the canyon on the ride

Such an amazing experience. Truly beautiful sunset views and trails. A paved path that is moderate for runners. Gorgeous all around. You’ll be thankful you went if you go.

Cute little gift shop and visitor center. They had a large variety of things to buy. I only bought two stickers. They only had one option for kids shirts which was disappointing, especially since the only size missing was the one I needed for my daughter. But overall they have a lot of other stuff to offer and see.

Yes. There are bathrooms in the visitor center. And they are quite nice (at least compared to our campsite). We self parked, no attendant in the booth, and just displayed our America the beautiful pass on our windshield. Signs I passed said other cars are $8-10. There is a little store with candy that will give you sticker shock. But the park rangers were incredibly helpful. Vees are bad this time of year. Second place we were warned about the killer bees being particularly aggressive right now.
