Macey's Tooele

Macey’s is one of my favorite grocery stores in Tooele, especially because of its bakery. The bakery bakes everything in-house, and in my opinion, it’s the best bakery in Tooele City. The quality and freshness of their baked goods are excellent. However, one frustration is that many of their most popular items, such as cinnamon rolls and other bakery favorites, are often sold out. Inventory seems limited, so you can’t always count on finding what you want in stock. The deli has a similar issue with its rotisserie chickens. The chickens are good, but they don’t seem to cook enough of them. They are frequently sold out well before dinner time, and the deli doesn’t appear to continue cooking additional batches throughout the day. It would be great if Macey’s prepared rotisserie chickens more consistently so customers could still purchase them during the dinner rush. If you’re specifically planning to pick up a rotisserie chicken for dinner, you may want to consider another store. Macey's is the most expensive grocery store in Tooele City. Since the opening of Smith's Marketplace, Macey's has better sales now. Macey’s also has a large number of self-checkout lanes, which is convenient in theory. Unfortunately, the self-checkout system is very slow. Scanning items and completing payment often takes much longer than it should. I’m not sure whether the issue is the internet connection or the checkout software itself, but the process can be frustrating and time-consuming. Overall, Macey’s has excellent bakery products and a clean, well-stocked store, but they could improve by increasing production of popular bakery items and rotisserie chickens, as well as upgrading the speed of their self-checkout systems.

What an absolute let down!! Our favorite tradition is coming to maceys for dipped chocolate twist cone!! And the last few times it’s been so sad to see these new younger kids coming in to work not taking on everyone’s favorite tradition with pride. They half dipped the cone and this is the third time they are out of the chocolate ice cream then to add the promotion of new flavors and they never have them for the shakes. Maceys you need to get these kids in check and take more pride.

Very irritating. The deli closes at 8:30 on Sundays. I got there at 7:45 and EVERYTHING was gone. No hot food, no food from the cold case. The only thing they offered me was vanilla ice cream. 💀🫠

This one employee Annie was extremely rude and took a very long time to attend me in the Deli section, she was very lazy and I didn't see her help her coworkers at all during the time I was there. She was also gone for around 30 minutes and had one of her coworkers attend me instead. I chatted with the employee that helped me and she informed me that she does this very often.

For the last 3 weekends I've found myself here for their amazing sushi! I haven't found a roll I didn't love yet! Great selection of sushi, the wasabi isn't too hot, and I can get all my other groceries as well! Great selection of food and products! Always friendly staff!

Love Maceys. Their new bread bots are so cool! It makes fresh bread you can watch happening. The bread tastes so good. We got one that finished baking while we watched and bought it. It was hit and was still freshly warm when we ate it at home. Love it.

Fabulous store! So clean and neat. Its light and open. Has a Ma and Pop vibe. Newly remodeled. Great bargains if you shop their sales. It is a bit pricier than Wal-Mart but its worth it to avoid the other places.

They have sushi !! I love that. I can also special order the meat i need for my dogs. Great store.
