KUDOs. One of the cleanest, most diverse museums. Well laid-out exhibits, excellent write-ups. Accessibility is extraordinary; my mobility scooter went everywhere with ease. The HUGE elevator was an exhibit in-and-of itself! CHALLENGEs. No parking lot but street parking is available. Note that street parking was okay when we entered but closed off when we left 2.5 hours later. HIGHLY recommended.

If you like history, this is the kind of museum you will love. Service is A+. Beautiful people, everything clean, access for people in wheelchair, the elevator is massive, 3 floor of history, easy access to restrooms and water on each floor. A beautiful view from the balcony. I just love it.

I visited the Tampa Bay History Center recently and it was a decent way to spend a couple of hours in downtown Tampa. The museum is easy to find right along the waterfront, and the building itself is clean and modern. Inside, the exhibits cover a mix of Florida history, from early indigenous cultures to Spanish exploration and more recent local development. Some parts were more engaging than others—especially the sections with maps, artifacts, and short videos. I liked that it wasn’t overwhelming. You can go at your own pace without feeling rushed. A few exhibits felt a bit text-heavy, so it helps if you already have some interest in history. It’s also not very large, so it doesn’t take a whole day to go through. Overall, it felt like a solid, quiet stop if you’re already in the area, especially if you want something indoors near the Riverwalk.

A short and pleasant 8 minute walk from the Florida Aquarium! I had finished up earlier than anticipated and was happy to see another 'Must See' location so close. I arrived shortly after opening and got to enjoy most of the mesum without seeing a single person on the three floors to explore. I was happily surprised that this museum had a great look out point of the bay. Overall an informative and quiet visit. Very happy I had the chance to stop by. + the accessibility accommodations were top notch. I was so impressed by how thoughtful every step of the way was with accessibility in mind.

A lovely museum showcasing different aspects of history on three levels. The building is located on the channel with a stunning observation deck overlooking the water. I have to say it's one of the nicest spots to step outside and see the view and the weather was perfect so that was a bonus. Inside is clean and spacious while offering a great variety of history. I'm not originally from here so it was exciting to learn at lot about Florida's past. It's great for locals and tourists, anyone who enjoys a museum or gallery should add it to their list of places to visit. Family friendly, kid friendly, and also a nice place to grab a bite to eat or drink.

Located in a nice area by Water st., this museum was really nice. We went there for a function so the 2nd floor of the museum was open for us as a courtesy. I enjoyed the small walk around catching up on some knowledge. The view from the balcony was really nice. We had a great time. I'm planning to visit this museum with the family soon.

Came here on a school field trip with my son. Our guide Sara was very sweet and informative. Loved all the sections of the museum, the different floors and how it takes you through the timeline as you higher. The theming was well thought out and interactive. Would recommend, if you enjoy history or just would like to know more about Tampa in all.

Beautiful, engaging museum. The exhibits are well done. The short films look good. The museum works to engage children. The exhibits are well done and extensive - the part I felt was lacking was information to give the background on how Tampa developed and evolved over time to become the City it currently is.
