Dunk & Bright Furniture

Long post alert but so worth the read!!! Today, I was asked to go furniture shopping with my sister. She said that she had visited a store (Dunk & Bright) 2 weeks ago and wanted to go back to make the purchase for a few items that she had seen previously. She intended to do financing since they have the option to do 12 or 16 months interest free. When we first arrived at the store we were met at the door with a smile by a well dressed store associate by the name of Tailor. I complimented her attire and we laughed a bit, she was very personable, cute, and down to earth! She took us to the set that my sister said she was interested in and then left us to look around and decide. When we were ready she took us over to do the application for financing all while offering coffee, water, and tea. They discussed delivery options and she said that there would be a fee if they brought it into the home so I told my sister of another place that I bought furniture from recently that does free delivery. Tailor went to get the owner JOE BRIGHT who happened to be in store today. He worked out the delivery for her and she was satisfied so they went ahead with the application. For some odd reason the application declined. My sister's credit score is almost 700, she has no debt, no collections, and doesn't owe anything on her credit card but nonetheless it declined. They had a second financing option that also declined. So then the owner offered layaway but my sister wasn't interested in it. The owner, Joe, sat there for a second and said you know what? I'll do in house financing for you. He asked her how much would she be able to put down and then he would stretch out her payment for the next 12 months interest free. The reason why this is so important is because this is not usually an option. We are believers and followers of Jesus Christ. I truly believe that His favor chased my sister down today. God will meet you anywhere and today He chose to meet us at a furniture store that sits in South Town plaza that once buzzed with business but is now very desolate. He reminded my sister that if you just have faith as small as a mustard seed, it doesn't matter what it looks like, it doesn't matter what it feels like in that moment He can and will show up for you. This is the type of business that I wouldn't mind spending my money in. The owner himself is humble enough to come out, roll up his sleeves, and serve his customers!!!!! The experience today was a 10/10 If you plan to buy furniture and are on the fence because you've never heard of this place.... TRUST ME... GO THERE!!!!! I pray that the Lord will continue to bless Joe and his family, Jackie, and Tailor, that the business would begin to grow and continue to prosper.

I purchased a wonderful couch at Dunk & Bright Furniture Store today located on S. Salina St.. The Fabulous young salesman, Kyle Kimball, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and he made my choice of couch very easy. The prices are So Wonderful at this time with their store closing around August & they will merge their store merchandise with their store located in Clay. I wish Kyle the very best as well as the major move to Clay. This store will truly be missed with their being located on S. Salina St. for 99 years already. I will definitely visit their store in Clay when I'm in need again. Thanks Kyle!! Best wishes to everyone there!

Amazing overall. Had an amazing sales rep Grace who was very knowledgeable and great when it came to looking. Didn’t hover over us but was always readily available when we had questions about certain pieces in the show room. Got an amazing dining table with matching chairs and she Grace made sure that I was taken care of from delivery to any minor adjustments that needed to be made within the first 30 days. Overall amazing quality and I am very happy with my purchase and the customer service. 10/10 would recommend

The delivery guys were AMAZING and super professional. We have two feet of snow outside and my street hasn’t been plowed, but that didn’t stop them from getting my couch delivered as promised. When their truck got stuck down the street, they carried it up the hill to my house. Wow!

After having been to several furniture stores with my spouse I went back here by myself and picked out some great stuff with Tammie’s help. She was amazingly helpful. The delivery guys were great and very considerate of making it all a smooth delivery. Any excellent experience. Still waiting on a custom chair to come in. Can’t wait.

I purchased a Movie Man recliner and had it delivered nearly a month ago. I had the thing less than 2 weeks and it broke. They set up an appointment for me for today, February 23rd. The service guy called me over the weekend to confirm the two hour window, which was from 10:30 - 12:30. He called a few minutes ago to tell me he ordered some parts and the repair will have to wait several weeks. This is NOT acceptable! I have doctor's orders to keep my legs elevated and I NEED that recliner. I want a replacement recliner (exact same model but it must actually work), a power recliner with the same weight capacity at no additional cost or a total refund including what I paid in tips. This is just plain unfair. I'm in poor health and had surgery several months ago, from which I am struggling to recover. I am very angry and now have no money to get another one. My savings are gone. Thanks loads, Dunk and Bright. You shouldn't treat your customers like that.

Found my perfect couch. I've bided my time what with other projects and needs coming first. My timing couldn't have been more spot on. The right facing corner couch was on sale and was in stock!! White glove delivery next week. Oh happy days. 🤗 Kyle sales rep, was extremely helpful!! After I found the couch I also wanted a sleeper chair. Looked at custom options and decided to go with a totally funky multi-colored fabric. It's going to pop!! And cushions are included, nice big ones, and I got to pick two different colors for those. Also picked arm style- rolled pleat, back cushions style- box, and style of foot and color. I did not get pictures of chair fabric, sorry. I probably will purchase a dense foam topper as the mattress is a bit thin. Eight weeks out for delivery. I definitely treated myself on the chair. 60 month interest free works!! I paid outright for the couch. Great sales and end of year deals.
