Very nice walking paved trail. Large grassy areas where quite a few couples were picnicking. Quite a few signs warning of snakes and active wildlife. Maybe come Spring.

Beautiful park with a big kida play area and a lake. There are fish and turtles in the lake. Beware of snakes. Walk on marked trails and road only. There is a clean restroom and plenty of Parking spots. There is a water fountain too for drinking water.
Beautiful park with something for everyone! Paved walking and biking trails, playground for kids, and peaceful spots for birdwatching and photography. The Japanese garden, bamboo grove, and lake deck are highlights—perfect for relaxing or capturing stunning photos. Plenty of benches, picnic areas, and even a pavilion make it great for families or a quiet escape into nature. This park is truly a hidden gem—beautifully designed with paved walking and biking trails that wind through nature’s best. Families will love the playground, while wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy spotting turtles in the lake, birds among the treetops, and yes, even a few shy snakes (don’t worry, there are clear signs posted). Along the way, you’ll find sitting benches perfect for resting, a pavilion and learning area near the entrance, and a serene Japanese garden overlooking the lake. One of my favorite discoveries was the grove of bamboo just off the main trail—it felt like stepping into another world. The lake itself is peaceful, complete with a deck and benches where you can sit, listen to the natural sounds, and let your mind wander. Photographers will find endless inspiration here with the changing light, reflections, and seasonal colors. I can only imagine how breathtaking this place must be in the fall when the leaves transform. Whether you’re looking for a quiet picnic, a family outing, or simply a place to recharge in nature, this park offers something truly special.
I stumbled to this park driving from Atlanta to visit family in Suwannee. I had free time before dinner so decided to take a stroll through the park! It was so nice to see nature all around as I live in the city in South Florida and do not get the views here. There are so many photo spots here. My favorite part was watching the turtles swim! Great place to come alone or with family/friends!
Sims Lake Park is everyone’s favorite park - paved, scenic, sculpture, and ducks - great for all levels of walkers, kids and dogs on leash - above all it’s safe
My go-to place for photoshoots… family, portraits, candid! Everyone loves it. It’s a manicured trail to walk, lake view, fall colors, kids play area… you name it, they have it. Superb family hangout place. Ducks too! Love that it’s in close proximity to us and such a calm and serene park for all ages.
One of our absolute favorite parks! I always feel so safe here. The park is very well maintained and thoughtfully laid out. There os so much room to adventure and I love that the county does their part to preserve natural habitats and limit access in areas. This is such a beautiful park. The main trail is a loop around the lake and there is a secondary loop as well. My 5 year old was able to walk both loops with no trouble at all.
This park is close to us, and we go there pretty often, especially during warm seasons. It’s one of our favorite parks in the area! Beautiful views and well maintained. The lake is absolutely gorgeous. My son just love watching the turtles and fishes in the lake. We’ve seen a couple big turtles around 3ft long, and many dozens of smaller ones too. Lots of fishes as well, big ones can be 2/3ft long. The playground for kids is nice too, one setup for bigger kids, and another for smaller ones. They don’t have many trails there, relatively short, easy to moderate. work nicely for us. They are scenic and well maintained.
