Love this place. I had a great experience working with Josh on my tattoo! I had an idea of what I wanted, but I'm not a visual artist. I gave him a raw sketch, he executed it beautifully and was totally patient and helpful during the process. As it healed, I realized I wanted the color lightened and he did it for me at no additional charge! He's fabulous! I'm definitely going back to him the next time I want new ink.

Got my first tattoo ever done here by Jim Down. I was a little nervous since it was my first, but Jim made the process so easy and I had my full trust in him. The tattoo is better than I could’ve ever imagined, all thanks to Jim. Not only was he really nice and caring, but also very communicative and great at his work. He gave me an after care goodie bag with some cool stickers of his in there too which was the cherry on top. Definitely will be going back to Jim for more in the future!

I have gotten multiple piercings here and it is always a great experience. The studio is clean and the decor is awesome! Steve is the best piercer! He is super nice and takes his time to answer all your questions and makes you feel really comfortable. He is quick and the piercing process is super smooth! I highly recommend you get pierced by him!

My girlfriend and I went to Studio City Tattoo yesterday, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience. She was there to get three piercings, and understandably, she was really nervous going in. From the moment we walked through the door, though, we felt completely at ease. We had the pleasure of working with Cat, and she was absolutely incredible. Her calm, reassuring demeanor immediately helped my girlfriend relax, and she took the time to walk her through every step of the process in a way that felt both professional and genuinely caring. You can tell she truly knows what she’s doing and takes pride in her work. What stood out the most to me was her attention to detail especially when it came to sterilization and cleanliness. Everything was handled with such precision and care that it gave us total confidence and peace of mind. She made sure everything was perfectly placed, explained aftercare thoroughly, and never rushed the process. By the end of it, my girlfriend was not only relieved, but actually excited and happy and that’s all thanks to Cat’s amazing approach. If you’re even thinking about getting a piercing, do not go anywhere else. Studio City Tattoo is the place, and Cat is the person you want. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The customer service here is AWFUL! The lady dressed in black who sits behind the register and is on her phone while people need help has no basic knowledge about the jewelry policies at this shop. My partner and I came in to return a jewelry piece he surprised me with as a gift. I didn’t even open the clear jewelry case since I immediately knew this septum ring was too large for me to wear. We clearly told the lady behind the register that we were there to exchange or return the piece. She tells us to wait for the piercer since others were waiting ahead of us. After waiting for over a half hour, I asked again, “do we really have to wait for the piercer to return this piece???” She said the piercer handles the jewelry. We were there for a total of at least 50 minutes! The piercer finally comes to us and tells us that jewelry cannot be returned after it leaves the shop. Why didn’t the lady sitting behind the register give us this information as soon as we told her why we came in to the shop instead of making us wait for about an hour to just be extremely disappointed. This place sucks, no respect and no consideration for patrons’ valuable time. I have never been to a tattoo and piercing shop where the person at the register doesn’t have basic knowledge on the shop’s jewelry “policies” Back story: my partner goes in to this shop to surprise me with a septum ring. Another piercer helps him with picking out the jewelry. Bless my partner’s heart but he knows nothing about piercings. He shows the piercer a photo of what I usually wear and somehow they pick out a piece that’s triple the size of what I wear. The piercer never told my partner that jewelry is final sale. This place is an absolute disappointment and not helpful at all! Buy your jewelry somewhere else and go to a shop where everyone in the establishment values you as a customer!

It was my first time at the Studio City Tattoo shop and they did not disappoint. This cute little shop is pirate themed and loved every moment in here. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable; and the shop is very clean. I came here to purchase a cartilage piercing and let me tell you. The jewelry selection here is phenomenal!!! They have jewelry for any style and aesthetics. Some of their pieces are one of a kind. I got this beautiful cartilage piercing and can’t wait to get all my jewelry here in the future. If you’re in Studio City, and in need of a tattoo and piercing this has to be on the shop you need in your life!!!

Got my first piercings ever and the technician was absolutely amazing. He spent about 10 times longer than expected finding the exact spot for ear symmetry. Super friendly place and very experienced, top notch!

Today I had another great experience with Joshua. I’m very picky when it comes to tattoos because I’m a painter and work with fine, delicate details, so I truly understand precision and craftsmanship. It’s not easy for me to trust someone with fine line tattoos, but Joshua consistently delivers beautiful, clean, and delicate work. I searched for a long time and couldn’t find anyone in LA who could do this level of fine line work properly until I found him about two years ago. Since then, I’ve gone back multiple times. I’m truly grateful to have found such a talented artist and highly recommend Joshua to anyone looking for refined, detailed tattoo work.
