TL;DR: Lively after work bar with good drinks, solid food, and fast crowds. Go early if you want space. We came just before 6 and it was already filling up. Within minutes it shifted from relaxed to busy, which fits the vibe here. Friendly bartenders, quick service at the bar, and a crowd that likes a lively, social atmosphere. If you like energy, it delivers. Food is dependable for a bar menu. The fried chicken sliders have good crunch and the wings come out hot with a nice char. Drinks are good. Seating is first come first serve and the bench seating is not the most comfortable, but it works for a casual hang. Parking is the biggest drawback depending on time. Ventura is packed during peak hours and the small lot fills fast, so off hours are better. Pro Tips: • Arrive before 6 if you want a guaranteed seat. • Parking is rough. Plan to walk or rideshare. • Order at the bar and you can keep your tab open

Fun place. Went on a Thursday eve and it was packed. Reservations are a must unless you don't care if you get seated. Good sized menu with really good food at reasonable prices. Same with the drinks. Guess they're known for their chicken sandwich which comes in various degrees of spiciness. I had the medium, it was delicious. It's loud and it's definitely a scene but great if that's what you're in to!

Laurel Tavern has something for every taste bud. They have wine, beer, cocktails, and good food. Their burgers are some of the best in the valley. They staff is also very friendly and helpful. We were there with a large group and they constantly cleared our table of empty plates and glasses. You order at the bar, one inside, and one is sometimes available outside in the back. Then food is delivered to your table. This visit we also had the pork belly appitizer. It was amazing. Crispy on the outside and tender and slightly chewy on the inside. The sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and smoky. Their chefs are on fire 🔥.

Great place without any pretentious vibe. cozy atmosphere, nice music, and a comfortable setting. Bartender Nick makes really good cocktails, you can tell he knows what he’s doing. The food is also great, the burgers are absolutely delicious and juicy. Perfect spot to come on a Friday after a long work week. Definitely coming back!

More alternative vibe than other bars in the area. Great music and beer. The sliders and nachos were to die for. Highly recommend for a quick brew and nosh.

A happening spot on Ventura. Full bar, good selection of beers, solid foods. Come here on a week night to get a more chilled vibe.

I used to LOVE this place. Then I made the mistake of bringing a friend over on 6/27. They accidentally charged my card for a friend….. and when I pointed it out, they refused to serve me and said I’m too drunk. I was sooooooooo confused. I asked why they think I’m “too drunk” and the rude female at the front said “you know why.” I accepted the answer and left. I was shocked they said that to me. I’m a loyal customer and I tip well. The fact they took frustration out on me was wild. I will never go back and i already told my date for tomorrow we need to find a new place. If you’re upset with another customer, don’t take it out on me

I can find nothing wrong with this place. The food is great. Awesome beer selection. The staff is friendly and attentive. It’s my new favorite spot when I come to LA!
