Instagram: @fabricioportillof Here is a well-written, grammatically correct review for the Staten Island Zoo, tailored to highlight all the points you mentioned: ### **A Fantastic Day Out for the Whole Family!** If you are looking for a wonderful, stress-free day outdoors, the **Staten Island Zoo** is an absolute hidden gem. Our visit started on a high note thanks to the **ample parking space**, which made arriving and finding a spot completely hassle-free. To make things even better, the admission fee is incredibly budget-friendly at **only $12 per person**—an amazing value for everything this place has to offer. As soon as we walked in, we noticed how **clean, well-maintained, and spacious** the facilities are. It is clear that they take great pride in the upkeep of the grounds. The animals look remarkably well-cared-for, healthy, and active in their habitats. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the staff. Every single employee we encountered was **incredibly kind, welcoming, and always wearing a smile**, ready to help with a positive attitude. When it was time for a bite to eat, we visited the cafeteria. It was **spotless, highly organized, and very reasonably priced**, which is a rare find for zoo food! > **Verdict:** This zoo is absolutely ideal for families looking to enjoy a beautiful day out in the fresh air. Highly recommended! 🐾🌿 >

Visitor notes
I used to come here as a kid. I understand it's winter hours and most of the animal exhibits were closed. Everything about this zoo says" We need help, we don't have funding" . I even asked about the Red Pandas they are somewhere. Otter exhibit was not as it used to be. Go for the goats and sheep and go on a Wednesday. None of what we did equated to 12 dollars a person. It used be 7 , they should go back to that. Staff was incredible knowledgeable and helpful.
It's a very simple zoo not a really huge layout to walk thru. You can visit everything within 1 to 2 hours. Whatever they do have is enough to get the attention of my 6 year who has been to that same zoo a hand full of time. He enjoys the small aquarium and the reptiles the most. Overall he likes it alot. Wednesday's from 2 to 4 are free!
Great place to take your little kids! It’s smaller than the Bronx Zoo which makes it easier (when there aren’t as many people) to let your little one explore! Definitely recommend if you’re able to, to go during the weekdays, and Wednesdays after 2pm, there’s free admission! Will be coming back again!
We came out on probably the coldest day of the year 12F. Thankfully there were plenty of indoor things to see. The reptile exhibit is really impressive. It only cost 12$ for adult admission but I believe Wednesdays entrance is free. There is a free parking lot across the street. Tons of variety, snakes, frogs, cats, bats, birds, fish, crocodiles, spiders, in the summer I've seen peacocks freely roaming around. I highly recommend checking it out.
I love this zoo it has a variety of animals from leopards to bald eagles and even a cute aquarium plenty of reptiles and alligators, they even have a small farm area with sheep and horses, I personally enjoyed this zoo very much it's not overly crowded on the weekdays and very relaxing.
What an adorable small zoo! I'm so glad we decided to check it out. Staff was amazing & animals appeared to be well taken care of & healthy.
We had such a wonderful time at the Staten Island Zoo! It’s a perfect place for families with young kids clean, safe, and full of interesting animals to see. Our little one absolutely loved the petting area and watching the monkeys and reptiles. The zoo isn’t too big, which makes it easy to walk around without getting tired, and everything is well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of spots to sit, rest, or grab a snack. A great place for a weekend outing with kids we’ll definitely be back!
