El Chaparro Mexican Bar & Grill - Spring

Service at the location is great. They are attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is like other mexican resturants, mexican vibe. Many seats inside, outside and a bar. The food it good. Many options on the menu and several options mexican food and american food for the kids.

I've been twice on Thursdays for the 9.99 enchilada deals. Great special! The green salsa is amazing!

While the food at El Chaparro is actually pretty good, the service is awful and keeps us from coming back. We periodically try it when craving more authentic Mexican dishes, like mole, but are quickly reminded of why we rarely come back. We stopped by this past Sunday around lunch and it was pretty slow with minimal people. Simon was our waiter and has zero people skills (we’ve had him in the past as well). Super dry, rude, and no customer service skills whatsoever. This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately we prefer places like Mi Rancho and Don Agave based on customer service alone.

Ambiance: Local Mexican restaurant with an indoor/outdoor area - we sat on the patio because the lights & decor were quite festive! Loved the stuffed & fried avocado! Great portion sizes for the price. Service was fast & good. Parking onsite - definitely a spot that gets crowded on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the chips & house salsas. Sangria Rita was huge and a good price. I would recommend El Chaparro if you are in the Spring area and wanting Tex-Mex!

We tried here lunch today. it was such a great experience! 🌮I had the nachos, and my husband ordered the chicken fajita,he absolutely loved it. We usually visit for dinner, so this was our first time going during lunchtime, and it did not disappoint.The staff, as always, were really friendly and attentive, which makes a big difference. The food was fresh, flavorful, and just as good as we’ve come to expect.

Parking here is limited. If there’s a wait, you can seat at the bar til your table is ready. Their Serrano margarita was surprisingly delicious! I also got the signature Rita, it was equally as delicious. I ordered the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs. The sauce in the ribs was very good. Flour tortillas tasted fresh and homemade. Their chicken fajitas were very tender and juicy. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great place for top shelf margaritas. The staff is always attentive and kind. This place is a staple when I visit Houston. We tend to go sleepy-time after......too much food & yummy margaritas!

Great late night eating spot, delicious drink options. The service was great!! Their flour tortillas were amazing and fresh. Will definitely be coming back when we are on this side of town.
