Fall Creek Falls State Park

Beautiful park with lots of things to see inside of short hiking distances. You can take trails to the bottom of the falls and swim, or just look from the top after a short walk. Very idyllic and serene, and the boat house staff were wonderful helpful. We had a lovely full day on the trails and the water and are looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful camp ground. Very quiet and peaceful. It’s a large park so it’s not crowded and not noisy. We rented a cabin and it was very nice with a deck in the background overlooking the lake. Loved the huge rock fireplace between the living room and kitchen. They all have outside grills and fire pits . Several playgrounds if you have children. Lake has a paved walking /bike path around the whole perimeter. Very nice lodge where you can eat at their restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking and the food was delicious. They have a small village also in the park with several gift shops and general store. A large swimming pool and enclosed buildings to hold events. There’s also a small food stand close to the pool to get wings, hotdogs and pizza and ice cream. Then they have the hikes to see the waterfalls. Those hikes are a must! Beautiful!!! Just be prepared and wear appropriate hiking shoes and clothing if you plan on walking to the base of Falls creek Fall. It’s steep and rocky and the day I went it had rained , so it was muddy and slick. But it was absolutely worth it! Would definitely recommend and hope to go back next year.

Literally the most stunning waterfall I have ever seen in my whole life. All age groups can enjoy this park!!! The 0.4 mile hike to the bottom is pretty steep, and I would not recommend the elderly to hike to the bottom as it was pretty rough on my young bones making it back up. However, the top of the falls is absolutely stunning and is a straight and easy 200 feet walk from the parking lot. 10/10 experience!

Absolutely stunning! We came during fall and the colours of the leaves is something I have never seen in Australia. Some great walking tracks for those who like easy access. If you can make It over the rocks, definitely head to the base of the fall.

Beautiful park with so much to see. The overlooks near the nature center are a great start, but the suspension bridge is a real thrill—I was wearing barefoot shoes and I felt everything on that bridge! It definitely gave me a case of sea legs for a while. I highly recommend going all the way to the base of the falls as well. It’s a steep, rugged, and strenuous path, but seeing the scale of the waterfall from the bottom is incredible. A must-do if you're up for a challenge and want to really feel the terrain!

Fall Creek Falls State Park is one of those places that never gets old, no matter how many times you visit. If you can make it here in the fall when the leaves are changing, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Winter is another favorite time of mine, especially after a good stretch of rain when the waterfalls are really roaring. Seeing that much water pouring over the cliffs is something you don’t forget. There’s a lot more here than just the waterfalls, too. The gift shop is worth stopping in, and I always enjoy looking through the museum to learn a little more about the area’s history and geology. Between the overlooks, hiking trails, scenic drives, and all the other activities in and around the park, it’s easy to spend an entire day here without running out of things to do. This is easily one of Tennessee’s most beautiful state parks, and it’s a place I always recommend to anyone who enjoys nature. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing drive, a good hike, or just somewhere peaceful to take in the scenery, Fall Creek Falls is well worth the trip.

Fall Creek Falls is beautiful! Local hikers said the flow was much better now that it's rained a little bit. Some waterfall overlooks are ADA Accessible. So many beautiful areas in this park. All levels of hiking are available. this weekend was the Mammoth March. It's a 20 mile hike with 1500 ft elevation change that takes 7 or 8 hours!

Beautiful hikes both easy and strenuous take your pick! Make sure to wear appropriate shoes do not recommend flip flops or slides if hiking down to the base of the falls! Pack water. Be sure to stop by the visitor center cute gift shop and displays.
