Sonoma Plaza

Sonoma Plaza is a beautiful and charming destination with so much to see and do. The historic square is surrounded by great restaurants, wine tasting rooms, unique shops, and lovely parks. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, making it a perfect place to spend an afternoon walking around and enjoying the scenery. The plaza is clean, well-maintained, and full of character. Whether you’re visiting for wine country, shopping, or just a peaceful day outdoors, Sonoma Plaza is definitely worth a visit. I look forward to coming back!

Sitting in the shade of old trees and listening to Tommy Thomson and the Ambassadors of Western Swing, Sonoma Plaza shines with its history and glory of the old days when California was emerging as a place where dreams come true. Now Music in Place gives us a time to refresh and enjoy the music 🎶 and the atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Sonoma Plaza was a stop we made on the Sonoma/Napa wine tour from San Francisco. There are plenty of eateries and eclectic shops to experience. Live music is played in the park on weekends. The rose garden was especially beautiful and the roses were so fragrant.

Perfect location. Mission San Francisco Solano was the last California mission built. Its right in Sonoma square along with great dining, shops, park, and wine bars. Lots of ways to spend the day.

Beautiful and very interesting historical plaza, full of attractive little shops, historical buildings, cafés and restaurants, and the cozy square itself. Really worth walking around it!!

Idyllic place that has something for everyone. There's a nice, grassy park where one can lounge around, with plenty of benches or conducive to laying our a blanket or something to just lay around. There's also a okay area for kids. It's surrounded by its quaint downtown, which has plenty of shops (bookshop, clothes, restaurants, dessert and bakeries) - as I said, something for everyone. I loved visiting here and woolf definitely come back. We stopped at the Sweet Shop for their absolutely delicious ice cream selections, and had breakfast at the amazing Sunflower Cafe!

We have always loved coming here and through the years it has never changed. Boutique hotels, great wine and amazing food. It is great for a couples getaway and lots to do with kids also. The square is something you need to see. It is also rated in the top 10 Fourth of July fireworks displays in the country. We went last year and it was unbelievable.

A fabulous Tuesday late-afternoon into evening Farmer's Market, with local produce, interesting local store and crafts vendors, food stalls and trucks of everything you might want to munch and sip on...and fun, live music! The Plaza and Square Park were filled with picnicking families of all generations. Loved it!
