I saw the place on tv with my dad last week! The food was great; service was amazing and the French fries are fantastic! Had an insider tip to order them extra crispy, UNBELIEVABLE! We also ordered the Meat Kafta sandwich “Leo style” and it was delicious! Mo, he kept asking us if things were good, how our service was and introduced us to the spicy green sauce which is full of different flavors and it was a total blast to enjoy the atmosphere. I’m so glad I turned on the news that day! Had never heard of them before! It’s right off the 101 and Raintree, plenty of parking and lots of inside space.

Opinioni dei visitatori
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Very rarely do you find such a gem of a restaurant. Some of the best Shawarma we have ever had, juicy/moist/seasoned and so flavorful. Super flavorful meat and well spiced. Sauces made in house and excellent balance of flavor. The pita was a star as well. Flown in fresh from NYC, it was thick and fluffy and not soggy. The pita was excellent Tabouleh was excellent as well. Hand chopped parsley, secret blend of spices, lots of lemon and well salted and finished off with tomatoes and onions. Babaganoush was excellent too! Still a little chunky with a great balanced tangy profile. And came with the award winning pita. Lastly, we got the rice pudding, tons of flavor packed in a bowl. Made in house scratch by the dad, this thing was sweet and flavorful mixed with cinnamon and a little rose water i think. Definitely the right way to finish off the meal The father and son who run this shop do an absolutely stellar job. They are personable, friendly, and so welcoming. Pricing is extremely reasonable too! Less than $15/meal.
As I was leaving De Babel today, I found myself wondering what actually qualifies a restaurant for a Michelin star because De Babel’s food is consistently so good that they honestly deserve one. Every single time I come here, the food is incredible, and always freshly made. The chef is extraordinarily gifted, and every dish feels like a flavor bomb in the best way possible! What also keeps me coming back is their customer service. Everyone who works here that I’ve spoken to is always kind, attentive, and genuinely present which I think is hard to find these days, especially so consistently across every employee that works here. Also, if you’re not sure what to order, just ask, they’re always happy to help with recommendations based on your preferences, and they never miss! I travel to this area for work, and De Babel has become my go-to spot whenever I’m in town. Today I got the chicken tawook, which was spicy, juicy, and packed with flavor. I also tried the tahini ice cream swirl for the first time and it was SO good. This is one of my most favorite places! 😊
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Go hungry and bring friends, the portions are huge and the food is amazing! This was our first time at De Babel and wow, we ordered a lot and still had more food than we could finish. For a group of four, you truly only need one side of fries and one side of hummus to share. The portions are very generous. We tried the tabouli, chicken shawarma, chicken tawook sandwich, chicken Caesar sandwich, plus sides of hummus and fries. Every single thing was delicious. Not one miss. The gentleman who took our order was incredibly helpful since none of us had been there before. He gave great recommendations and helped us order the right mix of food. We would absolutely go back, just way hungrier and probably ordering less next time… even though it’s hard when everything sounds so good. Highly recommend!
One of the best Mediterranean spots I’ve visited and definitely worth the drive! I tried the falafel sandwiches, truffle cheese fries fresh cut fries, and hummus—each one a must-try. The tahini was smooth and flavorful, and the unlimited garlic sauce took everything to the next level. Highly recommended!
I went to De Babel with my friends in scottsdale, We had a lot of fun and I liked the cauliflower sandwich, must try for vegetarian options Also the staff is very nice and welcoming!! Also, I personally liked the vanilla ice cream rather than the chocolate one! Although my friends loved the chocolate ice cream
De Babel has real potential and a great vibe, and Noam at the counter delivered genuinely exceptional service — friendly, efficient, and a highlight of the visit. The Tractor lemonade is also a must. As a food enthusiast, I had high hopes given the Yelp Top 100 recognition, and I’ll be honest because I think the kitchen can do better. The hummus was lovely, but the chicken shawarma came out overcooked and dry, the falafel was harder than it should be, and the fries were overdone. Next time I’m going straight for the sandwich — I have a feeling that’s where it’s at! For context on my baseline, I measure Middle Eastern food against Mazra in Redwood City — if you haven’t been, go. That place sets the bar for what this cuisine can truly be, and I’m sharing that not to be harsh but because I believe De Babel has the potential to play in that league. I’m rooting for this place and would come back to give it another shot. Hey De Babel team — if you’re reading this, consider it a love letter with constructive notes. Show Noam this review for extra smiles! 😄. #Yelp100
The staff is so nice and welcoming. I loved their energy and passion for the food they make. They do have a few vegetarian options. I had falafel sandwich and it was good. Very filling!
