Savannah Botanical Gardens

We were surprised that the grounds were open without any volunteers. We walked through leisurely and took many photos before we were drenched in sweat. Lovely place.

worth the visit if you're near by and want a peaceful short walk, it is beautiful but they only keep up with the "wedding area" the childrens area was not well kept and the trail had a glass display that was completely shattered, the was also apart of the trail that we could not access because it was too overgrown. I can't blame them since it is free access so they likely don't get enough funding to keep up with the entire garden and trail.

Nice little garden maintained by local gardening clubs. Featuring a house from 1840 that was built in downtown Savannah then moved to the garden. Plants are well labelled. There is a small pond with turtles including a softshell species. Free to enter (voluntary donation based) and available for wedding ceremonies.

I had a tiny bit of time to waste while visiting Savannah over the weekend and I am so happy I was close to the botanical gardens. Although still a bit early in the season for diverse blooms, I was still impressed with thr number of flowering bushes I saw. The children's garden is adorable, especially the pizza shaped garden for herbs! There is also a little free library which, as a librarian, I love to see. Truly a kindness to offer this scenic garden for free, I encourage you to visit and make a small donation. I look forward to stopping by again later in the season for more beautiful blooms!

not very big, but it's pretty. for the fact that i visited in the winter, i was pleasantly surprised to see plenty of living plants. i bet it's beautiful when all the plants are in bloom. it even had a cute little children's garden! seems decently maintained.

Amazing little botanical garden. The lady there was super informative and showed us around a little. Its not a massive garden by any means but it is beautiful and the volunteers that run it do fantastic work.

Just okay. While I did go in the winter and not many plants were blooming, the garden itself had areas that were over grown and looked like they needed some care and attention. The walking path is also quite short. However, with that said, given this is a free attraction, if you're looking for a light stroll outdoors, this is a great option but if you're going with the expectations that you'll be spending half a day walking around, you may want to make additional plans.

I really enjoyed exploring the gardens, it looks like there needs to be some work done on it. Also, the house was not open when I went in the middle of the day on a weekday. I would love to see some improvements in the decorations and presentation of the flowers. There needs to be some tables under the gazebo by the water and a way to take selfies easier throughout the garden.
