Montalvo Arts Center

Beautiful place. We walked around the buildings a bit but there is much more to explore here. Enjoyed the art sculptures outside.

Amazing garden and hiking trails. The lookout point at the top has a nice view of San Jose, would recommend! Another bonus is that it is free and open to the public.

Montalvo Arts Center is such a hidden gem! Admission is free, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful — perfect for a peaceful picnic or a relaxing stroll. There are lots of interesting artworks on display throughout the property, and several nice trails for hiking. It’s clean, well-maintained, and feels like a quiet escape surrounded by nature. Best part? It’s so close to home! Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for a calm, inspiring place to unwind.

The Montalvo Arts Center is pure elegance. Its grand architecture, lush gardens, and Mediterranean charm make it one of the most timeless wedding venues in California. Every corner photographs beautifully — from the staircases to the courtyard — and it’s the perfect setting for couples who want a touch of luxury and history in their photos.

Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga is a favorite stop for us, especially when hiking to the scenic Lookout Point. We usually park in Lot 3, where there’s plenty of free parking and a great view of the trail and the art center across the way. We love strolling through the beautiful Italianate Garden and Phelan Cactus Garden, where unique plants create a serene atmosphere. Around the art building, vibrant wisteria flowers add a stunning touch to the scenery. The Great Lawn is perfect for a light picnic, with plenty of open space to relax on a blanket, and there are also a few benches available for sitting and enjoying the surroundings. Occasionally, we’re treated to outdoor art installations, especially during events, which add a creative spark to the visit. Best of all, exploring the grounds is free, making Montalvo a delightful destination for nature lovers, art enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a peaceful outing. Highly recommend!

Very Scenic with a classic touch of European and contemporary arts. The sculptures were awesome Lots of places to take pictures The toilet facilities at villa was closed but available at level 4 public parking. Kids would enjoy so do pets. It was too hot so do carry sunscreen.

Pretty, nice hiking trails uphill to some nice views of San Jose. Get there early for a parking space. Lots of weddings are going on during pretty months, therefore many sections are closed for private events . Lovely place for a picnic bring your own blanket food and drink. It is a wonderful place for the community. When in Rome, be courteous, pick up your trash and turn down your music so everyone can enjoy this nice peaceful beautiful place. It's for everyone.
