The Bungalow Santa Monica

We had the most amazing time at Bungalow Santa Monica for Valentine’s Day! My girls and I got bottle service, and it honestly meant so much to us. This was our first Valentine’s Day being single, and the experience made us feel so special and celebrated. The vibes were incredible — fun, welcoming, and such a beautiful space. Our server was amazing and so on top of everything. She made us feel completely taken care of and truly at home all night. Addi at the front was also so kind and welcoming. Her energy set the tone from the moment we arrived, and you can tell the team genuinely cares about their guests. Also — the cauliflower bites are TO DIE FOR. We ordered three rounds because they were that good haha. Highly recommend trying them. We felt so blessed to have spent the evening here, and it made the night unforgettable. We will absolutely be coming back!

The Bungalow in Santa Monica is always such a fun place to end the night. The atmosphere is lively, relaxed, and full of energy, with a great outdoor vibe that feels very Santa Monica-i. The lighting, music, crowd, and patio setup make it feel like a casual beachside house party. Whenever I go to Wally’s in Santa Monica with friends, we almost always finish the night at The Bungalow, and it never disappoints. It is the kind of place where everyone seems to be having a good time, whether you are there for drinks, conversation, or just to enjoy the energy of the crowd. The space has a great mix of indoor and outdoor areas, and the ambiance at night is especially fun. It is perfect for groups, casual drinks, and keeping the night going after dinner. The Bungalow has become one of those reliable Santa Monica spots that always delivers a good time. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, social, and upbeat place to hang out.

Ended up at The Bungalow with clients after a productive afternoon of property tours along Ocean Avenue and it was the perfect wind-down spot. The outdoor garden setting is genuinely lovely — string lights, fire pits, and a lively but not overwhelming crowd. The craft cocktail menu is solid and the bar bites are well above average. It draws a sophisticated Santa Monica crowd and has a real neighborhood energy. A great recommendation for clients wanting to experience the social scene before committing to the area.

The bartenders didn’t seem to be the nicest when we went, but it’s a fun environment with a homey inside section and games like pool and ping pong as well. The drinks were also very good. Fun place to go for a night out!

Overall: 8/10 On the day I went, a reservation was required with a minimum spend of $50 per person. That included two drinks — and that was it. Some of the bartenders had poor service, but overall it was still a decent experience.

Had a great time — bartenders and servers uniformly friendly. Quieter than my first visit in 2021. A guest gave us a drink ticket they didn't use; ended up giving it to somebody else. Would come back!

This is genuinely a nice bar but we had an unfortunately bad experience with the security. At 1am sharp, they were aggressively kicking people out. That’s fine, it’s closing time (even though bars in LA close at 2am). But the bar allowed people to buy drinks still at 1pm. Security clearly didn’t get that memo and were pushing people out into the parking area; at which point OTHER security would tell us we couldn’t finish our drinks there and had to be inside. So clearly the entire security team didn’t attend the same orientation to be on the same page. I’m a grown adult, I have no intention to going to a bar where I’m treated like a child, so will not be coming back✌🏼 Also, my friend threw up from their cheap drinks!

Interesting place. A few different rooms to hang out and enjoy some fun activities with friends. Pretty cool music and atmosphere. I 100% understand that keeping places like this safe is a hard task, but the security team could be a bit nicer, but no biggie. Overall a great experience. Great view even at night.
