DK's Donuts & Bakery

An absolutely beautiful and (mostly) yummy selection of donuts that will both amaze your eyes and make your stomach happy. We chose a dozen of some of the most interesting and fun donuts either of us have had and while almost all were amazing, there were a few that were more style over substance which isn’t that surprising. Service was good and helpful and prices were a bit high but worth the quality. The parking lot is a little rough to get a space and we were blocked in while trying to leave while someone else double parked so just be aware!

This place slaps unbelievably hard at 1 am. I got the ham and cheese croissant, pepper jack bagel with cream cheese and the double dipped old fashioned. Everything was so delicious and fresh I really can't pick a favorite. They don't skimp on anything , I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the croissant.

Amazing donuts, amazing breakfast options, and amazing coffee! The service here is outstanding, friendly and quick. The donut selection can be so unique but every bit as delicious as an old fashion donut! I recommend trying anything that catches your eye as you won't be disappointed! They have so many breakfast options from croissant sandwiches, to bagel sandwiches and even breakfast burritos. My personal favorite is the Max special bagel sandwich. If your in the area, stop by and treat yourself.

the vegan cake donuts are sooooooooo good! they don’t even feel like cake donuts tbh the texture was so good! was on the sweeter side and the coconut ones were really yummy 💕

If you are from the east coast like me and are a little hesistant to get breakfast at some of these spots I can wholly recommend DK's. It's very reminiscent of east coast corner stores, with good service, food cooked on a flat top, and great variety of sandwiches and burritos as well as donuts, bubble tea, and coffee. My go to is the avocado burrito, salt pepper hot sauce and bacon.

The prices at this place are not clear. Many items don't have price tags, and they don't provide receipts, so there's no way to verify what you're being charged. The total changed while I was paying, and it ended up being much higher than I expected. I've been here multiple times, and I seem to be charged different amounts for the same items. The lack of transparent pricing and receipts makes the whole experience feel dishonest. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this place.

DK's Donut & Bakery in Santa Monica is an excellent, family-owned 24-hour donut shop and cafe that has been in business for over forty years. They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts. Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches. The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh. The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great. I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. If you are in Santa Monica or are passing by, make sure you stop by and support a great local business!

**Edit: I contacted the shop on Friday for 2x 10 by 10 Texas sized donut for pick on Saturday. Super last minute I know but I was blown away by the customer service and I already knew the donuts were going to be fire. I literally only agreed to a little birthday lunch just so I can have the Texas size donuts as my cake....We will never go back to traditional cakes** This place was worth every single mile I drove from Santa Clarita. Had this place on my food bucket list and was going to be in the area so I made the spot and it did not disappoint. Got 1x maple bacon 1x salted caramel bacon 1x double dipped old fashion, 1x dk house cream (amazing) 1x stuffed vanilla cream. I ate every single bite. The salted caramel and the housing cream one is the reason I am making another trip out there Sunday.
