This place was so cute and so well done. They had really great interactive exhibits and my daughter stayed in the kids section for nearly an hour doing the little activities. We were just passing through town on our way to Arizona, but this was so cool. Loved learning about the lighthouse lore, too. Upstairs through the elevator is a place at the top where you can go outside and overlook the marina. It was beautiful!

Very informational, decent price to get in, there are coupons in various places along the warf. I would say we got through this in 90 minutes. Bathrooms were out of order. Some hands on things were fun, great view.

What a fun little museum! We visited the Maritime Museum with a local friend who lives sailing. He was so proud to bring us to this museum. It's full of local history. The stand out was the light from the Point Conception's old lighthouse. It looks straight out of Oz 💚 There's a lot to see in a relatively small space. I have a feeling kids (especially those who like boats) would lose their minds in this place. Definitely worth the visit!

What a charming museum! We came with three of my three kids (ages 8-15) and everyone found something they enjoyed! My older kids loved the fishing simulator and driving the boat simulator. My youngest enjoyed finding fish in the kelp forest and making captains hats. I thought the interactive tattoo station was particularly clever! All the artifacts and information displays were lovely, well thought out, and very educational! I was planning on only staying 30-45 minutes but we ended up staying closer to two hours! It was quiet/peaceful enough that it felt like a museum, but interactive enough that it felt welcoming and fun for the kids.

What a cool museum! My girlfriend and I visited here for the first time, not knowing what to expect. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The exhibits were really cool and very informative. Admission was really inexpensive. The light from the old lighthouse at Pt. Conception was fascinating! Special shoutout to Jay! He was so full of knowledge; much of it first-hand. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

What a perfect way to spend a rainy day on the SB Harbor! Inexpensive entry fee, lots of local history, an art exhibition inside, local volunteers to assist you with any questions, and soooo much to see and experience. Plan for a couple of hours here... easily. A must stop if you're visiting SB. Loads of fun!
