Santa Barbara Botanic Garden

One of the coolest botanical gardens I’ve ever seen. Great variety of plants and environments, wonderful accessible walking paths, approachable for all ages. Had a cool tire swing, a maze, awesome bridges, a gift shop and plant nursery, and fantastic views of the ocean!!

I highly recommend coming here for some well needed outdoor time. It’s family friendly and incredibly peaceful/ beautiful. The workers are all very sweet and so eager to share the history of the garden with you. Make sure you buy tickets in advanced!

Natural setting to see and learn about native Californian plants and habitats. The trails are on gradual slopes with some stairs and wind through a meadow, redwoods, and along a creek. There are fun ways for kids to enjoy the environment. Plus, a nice gift shop.

Just about a 2-hour drive from Los Angeles, this place feels like a whole different world. Away from the LA crowd and noise, Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is extremely beautiful, calm, and peaceful. Surrounded by native plants, mountain views, and fresh air, it’s the perfect spot to relax, take photos, and reconnect with nature. Everything is well maintained, quiet, and very scenic. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway near LA, this place is highly recommended. Truly worth the drive!

Stroller was able to make it most places- be sure you have two adults if you bring a stroller. It’s hard to do the whole thing on your own.

Nice garden and everything is walking distance. The drive there was awesome as well. Most people don't do Tipton trail but it worth it for the view. See photos.
