Merry-Go-Round Museum

This museum is one of the most fun, cheerful places I have ever been. The sound of the band organ can be heard throughout the museum and the carousel animals come from all over the world. At the center of the museum is a working carousel you can ride! There is also a Cedar Point museum in the building. The gift shop is adorable and admission is cheap. You can get additional carousel rides for a low price, too. The staff is SO nice! A must visit if you are ever in Sandusky!

Came up with a group from Columbus, and was well worth the drive! All the features pieces were absolutely stunning to look at. Lots of photo ops available, and plenty of time was given to look at the carousel animals closely. The Cedar Point museum inside is also quite fascinating. And of course, the working carousel inside is fantastic for all ages so be sure to take a spin!

This was a last minute decision to visit. So glad we did. It was a wonderful collection of the most beautiful carousel figures. We rode the antique carousel, which went 9 miles an hour, compared to today's carousel that go 2 to 3 mph. There were screens with the history of many of the figures. And a Cedar Point memorabilia room. Definitely recommend

Great museum with history involving the carousel history along with period pieces and a beautiful restored working merry-go-round. A separate museum covers the history of Cedar Point amusement park from it's early beginnings to present day. A must see for kids and adults alike.

Excellent two for one deal with this and the Cedar Point museum all in one place. Great parking, lots of different carousel animals, all well preserved. Admission even gets you one ride! Excellent prices in the gift shop too.

Lovely little museum in a historic building. The collection of carousel animals is extensive and beautiful. I enjoyed seeing the steps to building a carousel horse, too. I did feel like the working carousel went quite a bit faster than others I've been on, which can be scary for some children. The staff were lovely. I thought it was well worth the trip to visit! But with all the beautiful and vintage art throughout this museum, I was very disappointed to see so much use of generative AI images in advertising and handouts.

It's cool. The music machines are great and the ride was fun. I also enjoyed all the carvings and the cedar point museum.
