San Dimas Canyon Golf Course

This review is for the event venue and staff. To start, my first venue canceled on us only four months before our wedding date. I was frantic, my mother suggested SDCGC because my grandmother used to work weddings there back in the 80s. I called and Patty was so understanding and got me in the same day for a consultation. Patty made me feel so much better and was able to meet my budget. within one day of losing my first venue, Patty had saved our wedding. The venue is perfect, the staff is caring and dedicated. We felt taken care of no matter what was thrown our way. Everything was laid out and gone over for ease. The wedding day went smoothly and effortlessly, regardless of me still being nervous. Patty and the staff were right there to help and make this day as special as possible. I cannot thank SDCGC staff enough for making our day perfect. Our friends and family raved about the food and venue. They all said that it was the most fun they had a wedding.

Wouldn't say that San Dimas Canyon Golf Course is beautiful, but it's somehow gorgeous 🥰 during sunset. There's some details should be improved, particularly the fences, kind of lower the class of the course. There's a creek along Hole 6, a 452 yards Par 5, you start your game here at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course from this hole, as there's finally some design. Hole 9 is another beauty, 472 yards Par 5, your 2nd shot will be facing 300 yards to the green that's surrounded by the mountains of San Dimas Canyon, the view is breathtaking. The Back 9 is much beautifully designed than the Front 9, especially Hole 12 & 13, Hole 12 is a short Par 5, big downhill from tee box, you'll like the view from top like me, followed by Hole 13, a very narrow fairway, dogleg right. Like Hole 14 and Hole 15 the most, both short Par 4 and both have fountains ⛲, Hole 14 in the middle of the fairway, Hole 15 in front of the green. And Hole 16 is the most challenging hole of the entire course, 180 yards Par 3, big pond in front of the green. One thing worth mentioning is that there's a lot short Par 4&5, while the Par 3 holes here are all long ones, around 200 yards each.

Easily one of the best value courses in LA County. It’s tucked away in the foothills, so it’s quiet and scenic with plenty of wildlife. The layout is fun and manageable for all skill levels, and you won't find a better rate for a full 18-hole experience in this area. Definitely worth the green fee!

We recently hosted our baby shower at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The organizer/planner team was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional throughout the entire process. Communication by email was always clear, prompt, and detailed, which made planning so much less stressful. The staff did an amazing job setting everything up and accommodating our needs throughout the event. Our guests really enjoyed the food, the buffet organization, and especially the mimosas! Everything flowed smoothly and the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. The biggest highlight for us was the outstanding service from Reece and Cory. They were constantly checking in to make sure everything was going well and went above and beyond all day. They helped us navigate the AC and microphones, cleared plates quickly, assisted guests whenever needed, and even stayed helpful through the end of the event during cleanup. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and positive attitudes truly made a difference and helped our day feel stress-free and special. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make our baby shower such a memorable experience. Highly recommend this venue for any special event!

It is a wonderful space, and the ambiance is amazing! Our guests loved the scenery. They were pretty accommodating, even though we struggled to get our seating arrangements and final numbers to them by the expected deadline. We appreciated that they had a lot to offer in terms of extras, such as Chiavari chairs in different colors, tablecloths, napkins, and more. Another bonus is that they provide you with a list of vendors, or you can bring in your own. The staff who supported us that night was also exceptional! Kudos to the entire SDCGC team from the start of our last-minute planning to the night of the event. A few things prevented us from rating them a 5. One is the food. The presentation was exquisite, but the meat was dry! This concern was raised during the paid taste testing, and assurances were given that it would not be the case on the night of our event. The last thing was that the linens were wrinkled, even though that had also been called out during a walkthrough. Also, prepping/cleaning the exterior spaces ahead of our event was not attended to. The entrance area needed cleaning. There were cobwebs and leaves everywhere, and bird droppings on the ledges. The exterior tables and chairs were also not wiped off. Overall, this is a great venue for your next event! We plan to host our next event there again.

One of the best public golf course in the area!! Great people. The maintenance of the entire golf courses from tee boxes, fairways to greens are exceptional. It is as good as many private golf clubs. The setting of the golf courses is pretty challenging as well. Many with narrow fairways to test your stability and consistency. I particularly love the greens which are really in great shape! Signature hole 16 is beautiful yet challenging over the pond with a downhill slope. Worth playing any time!

One of my favorite 18 hole golf courses! The remodeled restaurant and Pro shop are very nice, and the course is always in top notch shape! The driving range is small and you hit into a net, but perfect for the warm up before the round.

The marshal was very rude when speaking to players about speeding up the pace of play. There could have been a much better and more respectful way to ask us to play faster. The slow pace was caused by the groups ahead of us, yet it felt like we were being blamed. He yelled at us, saying, “You guys are two holes behind!” even though we were waiting on every single hole.
