Very quiet cathedral that offers a space to worship but also learn more about the history of the Catholic Church in San Antonio. We stopped by during the day so we missed the light show. They offer multiple masses during the day. Entrance is free but it can get pretty crowded for the masses.

Beautiful church within walking distance of the River Walk. We were able to go inside and take a tour, which was definitely worth it. They also do a light show with music every evening projected onto the front of the building, which is really cool to see. Worth the stop if you're in the area.

Such a beautiful church! The gift shop staff was outstanding. Finished the Camino de San Antonio there and it was a treat! Highly recommend visit! God bless this church! 🙏✝️🔥

San Fernando Cathedral is a nice, quiet little spot to get out of the hustle and bustle of downtown San Antonio to rest or reflect. A nice bonus was the gift shop - it had different artifacts from different events like papal visits.

I love this cathedral! It is so peaceful and calm inside. The stained glass is so colorful and the retails are also very nice. It also has the remains of the Texas Heros which is also nice. It is also one of the oldest catholic churches in Texas and it is the oldest cathedral in the U.S. I recommend this place for divine worship.

If you want to have a tour inside the cathedral, you must go during day time. But during night time, there is a Saga light show. Very beautiful show! But no enough seats for everyone, most people need to seat on the ground or stand beside the show. The show last 20 mins from 9pm. And it is very close to river walk, recommend to arrange to see the light show and have river walk on same night.
