Natural Bridge Caverns

Natural Bridge Caverns is one of our family’s favorite attractions in the San Antonio area, and we have made it a tradition to visit every year. Every trip feels a little different because the water levels inside the caverns can change depending on the season, which makes each visit unique. If you are visiting for the first time, the Discovery Tour is an absolute must. The guided walk takes about an hour and showcases some of the most impressive formations in the cave system while providing interesting history and geology along the way. One thing I appreciate about Natural Bridge Caverns is that there are multiple tour options available, allowing visitors to choose an experience that fits their interests and activity level. The ticket prices are fair considering everything you get to experience, although costs can add up quickly for larger families or groups. Even so, we have always felt the experience was worth it. The fun does not stop when you leave the caverns. The outdoor area is well designed and provides plenty of space for kids to run around, play, and relax after the tour. There is also a large maze, an impressive zipline attraction, and a well-stocked souvenir shop that keeps everyone entertained for hours. The overall venue is clean, family-friendly, and easy to navigate. Whether you are a local looking for a fun day trip or a visitor exploring San Antonio, Natural Bridge Caverns offers a memorable experience for all ages. It remains one of the best family attractions in the area, and we look forward to returning every year.

It was wonderfully amazing. My husband a d I had a great time for are 10 yr anniversary. It was so gorgeous. And are tour guild was lots of fun and fully of energy. It was a blast💙💗💋

The trail was cool, but the website was not. Actually because of the humidity in May, the cave was hot and enjoyable. It was beautiful as the pictures show, but I did not enjoy having to get a refund because of their website. I paid to do both tours(because of a discount)and their website allowed me to choose a time. When I got there, the cashier said I had to come earlier than the time that the website allowed me to select. She said on the website that it says to come two hours ahead of your time. This is just poor website development and can easily be fixed. Do the calculations, so that the time selected is the time that you show up. Don’t allow people to show up when you can’t do both trails before it closes. I should’ve bought through Groupon because then I would’ve gotten the price that I should’ve paid today. I did the discovery trail and it was great. Some negatives: They charge $10 for parking. They stop you on the trail to take a picture to try and sell you at the end of the guided tour.

We had an amazing experience at Natural Bridge Caverns. The caves are absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The formations, lighting, and walking paths make the whole tour feel very special and memorable. Every section of the cavern has something unique to see, from the huge open chambers to the detailed stalactites and stalagmites. The place is well maintained, the pathways are safe, and the lighting makes the natural rock formations look incredible. It is a great place for families, kids, and anyone who enjoys nature, history, or photography. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was very organized. Highly recommend visiting Natural Bridge Caverns. It is definitely worth the trip and one of those places where pictures don’t fully capture how beautiful it feels in person.

Great caving experience! We ordered our tickets online to secure our desired spot. The guided tour was about an hour long. The cave was gorgeous with many rooms. Some of the chambers were quite massive and very well decorated. One needs to be able to climb stairs and steep slopes. Not wheelchair accessible. Our guides were great. Visitor center has an eatery, restrooms, and plenty of souvenirs. The park itself had other attractions that one could attend, with additional charges of course. This caverns was about 45 minutes northeast of San Antonio.

If you’re in Austin, New Braunfels, San Antonio or San Marcos this is just a short drive away and an absolute MUST especially day after the river! Buy your tickets in advance! I never thought I’d get to explore a real cave and it was honestly one of the coolest experiences! There are two different tours and I recommend doing both. Each one lasts a little over an hour. If you need to stop and catch your breath like I do 😬don’t worry. There are rest areas along the way and the staff is incredibly accommodating. Just keep in mind there are no bathrooms once the tour starts. If you want to do both tours, plan to arrive early. The last tour starts around 5 PM (double check the schedule before you go). These pictures don’t even come close to doing it justice. Even with the brightest camera flash the caves are so massive and deep that your flash is basically useless. 😂 Perfect for a date night a family outing or anyone who loves a good adventure! ‼️ wear comfy shoes and clothes!! You will sweat a bit from humidity

We had a great experience at Natural Bridge Caverns. The cave tour is very long and incredibly diverse — you get to explore countless underground chambers and impressive rock formations along the way. The entire route is engaging from start to finish and never feels repetitive. Our guide was excellent: very knowledgeable, but also funny and easy to understand, which made the tour both educational and entertaining. You can really tell they are passionate about the caves and their history. I highly recommend visiting, especially if you enjoy nature and unique experiences. The ticket prices are relatively high, but in our opinion the experience is absolutely worth it.

This was a beautiful experience, we greatly enjoyed our visit the caves were breathtaking. It has a gift shop for souvenirs and play area for the children with yard games. I highly recommend.
