I really enjoyed this museum. I was happy to find out that the admission was free! The World's Fair exhibit was great! I had no idea how big diorama of the entire fairgrounds was. It was really interesting to view all the different buildings. Lots of great artifacts, I liked seeing all the "touch me" exhibits for children. There are dedicated galleries for small children, which must be great for families. I will visit again next time I am in St. Louis.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 We really enjoyed our visit to the Missouri History Museum. It's free, air-conditioned, and ended up being a great way to spend a couple of hours indoors. The exhibit about things made in Missouri was interesting, and the section on the 1904 World's Fair was especially neat. Our favorite area was the Ferris wheel exhibit, which helped bring that history to life. The museum was well-maintained, clean, and easy to navigate. We also appreciated the children's area. Even though I have teenagers, they spent about an hour exploring and interacting with the exhibits, which says a lot. In total, we spent around two hours there without feeling rushed or bored. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions and chat about the exhibits. If you're looking for a free activity in St. Louis that's educational, comfortable, and enjoyable for both kids and adults, this museum is definitely worth a visit.
Despite construction on the second floor that closed an exhibit, I still enjoyed the museum especially what the World's Fair was back then. The north entrance of the building looked ornate on the outside. Good thing admission is free and I would come back once construction is done and whenever I'm back in the city.
The World's Fair exhibit was very interesting and thorough. I left feeling depressed about it since it focused a lot on the negative things of the World's Fair. The staff member wad helpful in answering my question. One of my favorite things was getting to watch some clips of Judy Garland's movie Meet Me In St Louis. We called in advance and No tickets are needed.
Nice free museum. Great info on the worlds fair. We got there in time for a talk so I forgot to take a photo of the map but the talk was great and they have a map of the grounds layout with projections of then and now. Nice to go before the zoo as we found out about the bird cage being bought and being the start of the zoo :) There is food available at the cafe on the second floor.
A free gem of local history! Go see the Mill Creek exhibit while you can. The docents are kind and will answer your questions. The club house for kids is great; my sons and I built and colored and played for hours. The Amighetti’s restaurant upstairs is great! I’ve been with the kids for quick appetizers and book club for a lovely brunch.
I really enjoyed learning about Mill Creek. St Louis Missouri is rich in culture and sports. St Louis is famous for education and community. I'll call St Louis home and very proud to be a part of such a rich legacy.
I didn’t get a chance to go inside the museum while exploring St. Louis, but the experience still felt rich and immersive. The surrounding park, the European-style architecture, and the way the museum is integrated into the landscape together create a powerful sense of history and culture.
